Dear NATO, Are you REALLY going to come to defend America if we are attacked?

Well....since NATO has no army, just the military of the coalitions what exactly do you expect them to do?

The same as they "expect" the US to do. Send their armies here to defend us. But we all know that they wont.

Article 5 of Natos charter explains. It nicely.

“The Parties agree that an armed attack against one or more of them in Europe or North America shall be considered an attack against them all and consequently they agree that, if such an armed attack occurs, each of them, in exercise of the right of individual or collective self-defence … will assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties, such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force, to restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area”


Meaning NO ONE has to send military ANYWHERE they don't want to. America takes it's roll because it wants to.


Myself I'm all for isolationism . We don't need to be in over 187 countries at the moment. We got the bombs. We're safe from anything except an inside job.

We all know what that means. The US will protect everyone else but they will come up with excuses not to help the US.

That is a one way arrangement.

NATO was created as a scheme for Europeans to use American resources to implement their own world view.

It was never intended that NATO exist for the benefit of Americans.

I'm not sure that the United States isn't at war with that entity in Afghanistan or that 9/11 wasn't a NATO operation.
