The Alabama law does go to far.

Which is why it is just as bad for the religious to be in control as it is the leftist.

Both enforce insanity on the population.

btw... abortion on demand by the man is in the bible and it is powered by magic dust from the temple floor. look it up.

If abortion is ok because of a jealous husband.. then it should be ok in rare cases of incest and the like.

right, i agree. god has a plan for everyone of those children
 Quoting: Coastie Patriot

And.. what are all those children doing now?

Are you a christian tho thinks they are roasting in hell?

Or do you think they are in heaven, or the city of new Jerusalem where Jesus rules the universe from.

This is the mental wackiness regarding Christians and abortion. The aborted babies from all over the world are technically in a heavenly paradise experiencing immortality in a world 1000x more wonderful than this one.

So why the outrage over it? Why the anger over not having to live a short insignificant period of suffering on earth?

Christian televangelist Pat Robertson has said that he believes Alabama's near total ban on abortions is 'extreme' and that the state has gone 'too far'.

take a stand Pat
 Quoting: Coastie Patriot

Take a stand? He has.

However, since sociopolitical liberalism/leftism is so rampant in American life in 2019, he could have said the law was the mirror, opposite image of pro-abortion laws recently enacted by various states. Laws that make post-birth killing of infants a pat on the head and a case of "I'm okay, you're okay."

He could have said that he viewed Alabama's law as the blowback to places like New York with a Empire State Building lit up to celebrate the state's late-term abortion law.

Pat is a smarmy deceiver. Liked the guy.

The incest one is still justifying murder of an innocent, some of the babies are normal and some are just so severely damaged, sad. Rape is bad too but if a child is conceived it is victim number two if aborted. The baby had no choice about it. Why make the baby pay for the sins of the father?

I can't help think of the videos I've seen of the baby inside pulling away from the instruments as the procedure goes on. I do know, even if it is a messed up baby, it is still living and it is still murder to abort it. How can a woman allow her baby to be torn apart like that? Shit, its so awful.

Two wrongs never make a right.

And by the way, the idea that gay people living together doesn't hurt anyone is stupid. Of course it hurts us. It's the creeping progression of sin. First you allow this, then that, then the other thing and then you are in the cesspool where society is today--on the verge of allowing pedophilia. What's next, mandatory euthanasia instead of retirement at age 65??

You judge a society by how it treats its weakest members. We're failing miserably.

Re: Cant have both ways PAT. televangelist Pat Robertson says Alabama abortion law is 'extreme' and he believes the state 'has gone too far
Devil's advocate here (pun not intended but isn't that a funny statement)

Sometimes when you push for an extreme position your opposition pushes back harder and you lose more ground.

The original Roe v. Wade and gay marriage are perfect examples.

If we had not pushed on Roe but instead let the state medical boards handle license removal and/or discipline we would not have abortion on demand and a billion dead babies today. We allowed them (by mere opportunity) to reinterpret the right to privacy in the constitution.

Same with gay marriage. In the 90's conservatives opposed civil unions (which frankly IS a fundamental CIVIL right that should be recognized considering it harms no one but the individuals). So they fought back harder and won gay marriage (frankly a fundamental religious right even if one has no religion) and now we have gay adoption to boot.

Maybe this is what Robertson is thinking when he says it's too far. Maybe he sees it going to SCOTUS and instead of overriding Roe the opposition gets an even tighter stranglehold on the right to murder.
 Quoting: Bright Side

You make some good points. Liberals win by incrementalism. This law will fail and will prove that a ‘conservative’ court isn’t going to end abortion. Republicans make a living off of selling that lie.

As for civil unions, why should the government register sexual relationships? The reason marriage is recognized by the state is that children come from sex between men and women. Marriage is the institution which protects the rights and well being of children. Homosexuals can’t have children. And if heterosexual people want to have sex they should get married because children do result and need to be protected.

Christian televangelist Pat Robertson has said that he believes Alabama's near total ban on abortions is 'extreme' and that the state has gone 'too far'.

Robertson, who opposes abortion and hopes to see Roe v Wade overturned, made the remarks on Wednesday on The 700 Club, hours before Alabama Governor Kay Ivey signed the new law.

The Alabama law contains an exception for when the pregnancy creates a serious health risk for the woman, but not an exception for rape or incest, and would punish doctors who perform abortions with up to life in prison.

'I think Alabama has gone too far,' remarked the 89-year-old Robertson.

the case of rape or incest is not an issue anymore. The day after pill or Plan B oral birth control would be given to anyone claiming rape or incest. So ya, this ass hat is basically giving out libtard logic to effectivly get more money.
