Lots of college students are almost 6 figures in debt working a $10-15.00 an hour job.

What a ripoff!

Unless you want to be a doctor, lawyer, teacher, or one of the stem professions, you most likely don't need college.

Yep, those four years of wild parties and daily sex orgies were well worth it.

Mine and my wife's only cost around 15000

She makes 45 an hour

I make 42 an hour

So, yeah I would say if you get the right degree it's worth it and our were pretty cheap in my opinion

OP can’t get a college to accept his dumb ass, some he’s decided to focus on the morons that got Liberal arts degrees and can’t get a decent job.

Brilliant.

Heard that only 25% of STEM degrees are used by the natives in America.

Silicon valley only hires Indians or Chinese.

Re: So College graduates, was that expensive degree worth your low paying job?
I know everyone and their brother likes to degrade the liberal arts - history, classics, etc.

However, these degrees require an immense amount of reading and writing. I have actually made a small fortune in my career because I am one of the few people that can actually read and write.

There is a market for intelligent, thoughtful, and well-spoken workers. They can serve in any number of capacities in private industry, including sales, client relations, operations, law, and more. It all depends on how you apply those skills.

The other thing is that these types of graduates tend to have higher incomes long-term because they aren't capped out on salary early in their career.

I'd rather hire an articulate, smart, and well-read college graduate that can read and write than a business school graduate that lacks these skills.

paid off well for me because I actually learned things and don't need a job.

going to college is only a ripoff if you did it hoping for a job. you can get a job while in high school and if you stick to it long enough you'll probably be able to run the company in 10 years.

Re: So College graduates, was that expensive degree worth your low paying job?
Hmm. Let's see, the wife graduated 5th in her high school class, qualified for an honors scholarship at a state university, took a full course load plus worked a full time campus job, in which she advanced so by the time she graduated (took five years because she doubled majored and worked)she was making 100k in an IT job for the university. She then continued to work through her masters, and then landed an even better job working for the feds. Teachers retirement plan and a federal retirement plan. No student loans. But then she didn't go to college to party, she went to get the hell out of dodge, she grew up quite poor and made the most of every opportunity she received.

Re: So College graduates, was that expensive degree worth your low paying job?
I’ve become a pumpkin farmer in woebegone Indiana.

Eleven years of college keeps me entertained. I’m glad I know about the world. I’m glad I had that much college (only have a BA! lmao).

Quaker college was the best one. State university had the most interesting students. Jesuit college taught me aBout a whole different world view than my own.

I don’t mind being educated. The loans? Defaulted. As a result I can’t work. I see no point if I’m going to be working for a government that no longer works right. I’ve dropped out a long time ago.

I don’t need money and if it comes down to it I don’t need food. I’ll never be a slave or a prisoner.

My parents paid off Quaker college laans. The best part of the education won’t squeak when I use it.

I don’t mind being poor and educated. Rich and educated isn’t the better way. I’ve met a lot of those kinds. I would never trade my education for their money.

Education has saved my life a couple of different times and a couple of different ways. I mean that literally. PTSD and a sound education...also innocence and dojo training. I don’t know how I got so lucky.

Physical training—the dreaded PE requirement—is as important as all the rest.

To be real honest though if there were ONE thing I’d do differently—I’d pay better attention to what dad was doing when I had to hold the flashlight. We gave him about a hundred goodies neck and free standing flashlights for all holidays. It was a long time before I caught on WHY I had to hold the flashlight.

Depends on the degree. IT is all online and better than brick and mortar in a lot of ways.
