So GOT is ending tonight and people seem to be upset that they won't be able to see tons of nudity, incest, violence against women and children and poor writing. I don't get it.
I tried watching the very first episode when season 1 was out. Within the first 20 minutes there is a scene of a brother and sister having sex. I turned it off and was done.
Quoting: Bananafighter Its just shock entertainment. People love being shocked and surprised. The nudity was used to depict the savage base nature of people. The incest was to help you hate the twin antagonists. The violence and rape was to make you feel for the protagonists and their suffering. Then when you start caring about people they kill them for the shock value.It was well thought out and well executed.As it ends it marks the end of the grumpy cat era. Only the first 5 seasons and a few episodes in season 6 were well writtern and executed. The rest was/is crap because the writers were too dumb to raise to that level, and in a hurry to finish the show, and they made a mess of it.
