I enjoyed the first two seasons but then it became very repetitive. It's as if they changed writers.

Our fantasy and science fiction novels are better than yours, man.

Its just shock entertainment.
People love being shocked and surprised.
The nudity was used to depict the savage base nature of people.
The incest was to help you hate the twin antagonists.
The violence and rape was to make you feel for the protagonists and their suffering.
Then when you start caring about people they kill them for the shock value.
It was well thought out and well executed.
As it ends it marks the end of the grumpy cat era.

Only the first 5 seasons and a few episodes in season 6 were well writtern and executed.
The rest was/is crap because the writers were too dumb to raise to that level, and in a hurry to finish the show, and they made a mess of it.

I had to stop watching when that semi-attractive princess or whatever she's supposed to be, got tired of getting railed from behind by that big barbarian dude, so the next time he came to rape on her, she threw him down and got on top and fucked the shit out of him.

I can't watch shows like that, that take an old world premise and update it with modern themes & story lines. It's a fucked show imo and the people that obsessively watch it....I just don't understand them. The show is garbage and beyond stupid imo. But that's just my opinion. If you love it, I don't understand why but I guess I'm happy for you. LOL

The first 2 seasons did have a ton of sex and violence to be sure, which I did not enjoy, but I plowed through it because I actually do like the story line and the costuming and set design are well executed.

I am excited for tonight!
