this morning....finally broke through the 143 lb barrier. scale registered 142.5 lb. lightest I've been in over a decade.

I once reused a stamp by steaming it off and saved myself 28 of the queens pence.

I once TRIPLE DIPPED a carrot stick in the onion dip.

I know this isn't the answer you are looking for but....

At an early age I decided that I would live my life the best way I could in accordance with Jesus' teachings.
My wife and I dated for 5 years - last year of high school and all through University before we were married and we were both virgins when we were married.
We have raised 2 boys who are now 21 and 23 and tried to teach them the best we could, showing them that dedicating your life to GOD is the best thing you can do.
Keep your nose clean and your attitude humble.
GOD has blessed us beyond measure - even though we went through some very lean times early in our marriage - 25 years later she is still my best friend.

So I guess the answer to your question would be that we bucked the trend of modern society and stuck with the 'old ways' despite criticism and some ridicule along the way.

Going 75 MPH south on the Long Beach Freeway riding on the hood with another guy weaving around in lanes trying to shake me off the car. 1983-true story. I proved to the guy it is nearly impossible to shake someone off the car weaving abruptly if you distribute your weight properly. You have to run the car into another object to have the guy on the hood thrown off. There is no other way to generate enough force.

They try to make it look like a struggle in TV shows, but it is pretty easy.

I'm a fair weather straight and level easy turns pilot. One day I was up in a single seat 1-26E glider and was at 8,800 feet and it was time to go back to the airport. I pulled full spoilers on and pointed the nose straight down, the airpeed was up to max. I had never done this before but what a quick and fun ride down. I leveled off at 1,200 feet and landed just fine, fun! fun! fun!
