A few months ago I was running in the mountains near Fort Collins CO and I was attacked by a cougar. Out of nowhere, the cougar jumped on top of me clawing and biting my arms and face. I did not have any weapons on me at the time so I killed it with my bare hands. Had to strangle it to death. Stupid cat fucked with the wrong person that day.

Oh, wait. That was not me. But man I want that freaking story! It does not get much more badass than that!

167 in a 65. I had a 1993 RX-7. That thing was a rocket. I could still feel the acceleration when I pushed the pedal to the floor at 160. It felt like the rear end was starting to float so a chickened out and stopped at 167.

Also drove an Indycar at the Indianapolis 500 Speedway. Can't remember the top speed but it was less than the 167.

Pulled a 7 day old body out of a river, suicide jumper off a bridge on the Columbia.

Rescued a runaway horse that dumped its rider and tore off towards the highway. Riding up to the animals side Steered away the horse from getting onto the busy road. The chase ended when the loose horse and I jumped a 4 ft fence. (Landing safely on the other side, the horse finally was safely contained.)
Never jumped that high ever again thank goodness. I was a barrel racer/polebender... not a show jumper!
This was all happening during a rodeo queen contest. I won the competition after all the drama. I felt pretty proud that day. Of myself and my horse!
It scared me to death but looking back, nothing mattered to me but saving that horse. The owner was very thankful. I was thankful too that I got through it alive.
Still own the sash and crown 28 years later.

After going through about 3 locked doors that needed to be unlocked by guards, accompanying a Researcher, I walked through the National Archives vault, where they keep all their treasures.

We were going for a Custer document.

The place was huge, and was filled with shelves on either side of the aisles. He was walking so fast and it was so kind of dimly lit, that all I can remember seeing was a huge pile of Confederate money. I wish he had walked more slowly, it was all I could do to keep up with him.

The Custer document wasn't there, it was checked out for copying. But just being there was an adventure of a lifetime.
