I purposely totaled my fun sports car then got on the hood and jumped backwards into the wind shield, shattering it with my body. I was having a psychotic episode at the time so I wasn't really being rational.

Another one: helped save a man who was attacked by a mountain lion. The dude was blood head to toe and going into shock. Had to have life flight come in to haul his stupid ass out of there. Dumbass was jogging in lion country. Littleton, Co, Summer 1998. Look it up.

He came by the park a few weeks later after healed up to tell us all thank you. He became a born again and last i heard was traveling around preaching. SP are his initials.

Re: What's the most badass thing you've ever done?
When I was a young teenager, our house was stormed by Narco Agents because my brother was supposedly selling drugs (pot).

They tore our house upside down. This was in the middle of Hurricane Agnes and we had so much rain everything was pure mud.

So while the narcos were in the house searching it, me and my sister went out in the hurricane and completely covered the narco agents cars with mud. I'm talking a foot thick of mud completely encasing their cars. We snuck back in and eventually, the narcs left. Two of them came back to the house and told my brother and mom 'tell your sisters they're real smart asses'...we were like "waaaahhhttt????"! It was hilarious.

I volunteered to leave my home, forget who I was, forget who I am, forget everything I ever knew, to be born into this shit hole world and do what I can at this very important point of space and time.......to make whatever difference I could.

I also (with the help of my wife), raised two little boys into two, good, young men, whom I am very proud of.

I have heard that you can never really ever go home....I hope that's not true.

In my mid 30's ran the Marine Corps Marathon, then 3 weeks later ran a 50 mile ultra known as the JFK. 6 mos later did "The Dogwood" 50K which was all up and down rocky mountain terrain and more difficult than the 50 miler. So rocky was the trails, that my brand new Brooks trail shoes had worn all the way through and by the end, I finished with bloody toes exposed. Felt like quite an accomplishment --than one.

On 50th birthday, drove a Formula 2000 car for an afternoon at Pocono Raceway Racing school. Best adrenaline rush and better than any drug.

Re: What's the most badass thing you've ever done?
I know this isn't the answer you are looking for but....

At an early age I decided that I would live my life the best way I could in accordance with Jesus' teachings.
My wife and I dated for 5 years - last year of high school and all through University before we were married and we were both virgins when we were married.
We have raised 2 boys who are now 21 and 23 and tried to teach them the best we could, showing them that dedicating your life to GOD is the best thing you can do.
Keep your nose clean and your attitude humble.
GOD has blessed us beyond measure - even though we went through some very lean times early in our marriage - 25 years later she is still my best friend.

So I guess the answer to your question would be that we bucked the trend of modern society and stuck with the 'old ways' despite criticism and some ridicule along the way.
GOD is good and will bless your intentions.

160 in a 65.
 Quoting: ScrumpTheTexan

167 in a 65. I had a 1993 RX-7. That thing was a rocket. I could still feel the acceleration when I pushed the pedal to the floor at 160. It felt like the rear end was starting to float so a chickened out and stopped at 167.

Also drove an Indycar at the Indianapolis 500 Speedway. Can't remember the top speed but it was less than the 167.
 Quoting: LoneStarRising

174 indicated in 55 zone, 911 Turbo Cab with the top down.

Was going for top speed of 193 (for that generation)… but at that speed you find out that seemingly flat roads are not actually all that flat.

Re: What's the most badass thing you've ever done?
We were living in LA and we went to a birthday part of a celeb we know. I took my 13 year old daughter. We were dancing together - father and daughter - and afterward I walked over to the bar and a well known actor came up to me, made a rude comment about ‘how he’d like to get a piece of that young sweet ass” and then asked me who she was!

I replied, "she’s my daughter." Then I punched him in the mouth, knocking him back over the bar. I told our hostess what had been said and she thru the offensive pedophile bastard out. She’s now a major celeb (she wasn’t quite as famous back then) and the actor is a known pedophile in Hollywood Circles. People won’t let him be around their children at parties, functions, etc.

Of course I offered to pay for the damage and broken liquor bottles, glasses, etc. She wouldn’t allow me to do so. I sent flowers and a note of apology the next day. The story got around town and the pedophile actor was filming a big budget movie, at the time. I heard the studio spent some serious money to keep the story out of the newspapers and fan mags.

It’s true that many big celebs are into young women or young men. That’s their business as long as the women or men are over the legal age of consent. But when they go after children because they’re too insecure or inadequate in their own minds and bodies to have a relationship with a grown woman or man, it’s not only illegal, but frankly I think they should be executed when they’re caught molesting young girls and boys.

I have only punched one other person in my entire life. I’m not a ‘bad ass’ by a long shot. I was raised to be a gentleman and have tried to be so all my life. But there are some insults, some breaches of decency that are so outrageous that in many men, there is a visceral response and their fist moves before their mind realizes what they’ve done. That was one such situation for me. Friends who were there still kid me about the day I punched “so and so”. Most agree the fucker had a full ass-kicking coming. Sadly, he stayed down with one punch. damn it!

Going 75 MPH south on the Long Beach Freeway riding on the hood with another guy weaving around in lanes trying to shake me off the car. 1983-true story. I proved to the guy it is nearly impossible to shake someone off the car weaving abruptly if you distribute your weight properly. You have to run the car into another object to have the guy on the hood thrown off. There is no other way to generate enough force.

They try to make it look like a struggle in TV shows, but it is pretty easy.
