This is not only strange, but massive, perhaps a million times the mass of the Sun.

The discovery of the Galactic strike and run was made by Ana Bonaka, a researcher at the Harvard-Smithsonian Astrophysics Center.

Re: Something strange struck a hole in the Milky Way.
I'm going to throw out TWO OBSERVATIONS for ya,
OP.

#1: Check Ben Davidson's "Suspicious Observers dot org"
site...and you will find that he is ALL KINDS OF DOWN
on anything "dark matter" related. He doesn't believe there
is such a thing as dark matter and that this strange
ethereal un-obtanium kind of matter ONLY EXISTS IN THEORETICAL
DOCTORATE DEGREES...something the people who are too-good
-to-take-out-the-garbage for a job study with BILLIONS
of grant money (reference CERN.) This isn't my opinion,
check Ben's site. He tells it LIKE IT IS!

#2: What this person writing the article--and it does
have some interesting points if you know what you are
looking at--IS GIVING US DISINFORMATION under the wire.
The "gaps" she is pointing out are more than likely
PROOF that a creative "rogue scientist" Dr. Paul LaViolette
presented to the science community (only to get black-balled
temporarily) concerning "The Galactic Super Wave Theory."

If you are going to have a GIGANTIC CENTRAL CORE EXPLOSION
from the center of a Seyfert Galaxy (like the Milky Way
and most galaxies formed this way in our local universe)
...that ENERGY is going to bust through somewhere (and
leave a fairly sizeable HOLE.
[link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

IMHO:
those so-called gaps ARE THE PATH OF THE GALACTIC SUPER WAVE
AS A CYCLE (or the gap would eventually close due to
gravitation and magnetism.) From what I've studied (over the
past 7 years now) of Dr. LaViolette's theory, the GSW
looks something like this:

GammaBubbleWAVE
Pre-Galactic Wave Event

:BeemOvLte:
Post-Galactic Wave Event
(these D.E.W.s from the Milky Way Core
are BLOWING OUT A PATH through circulating
stars in the arms of the spiral. They don't
just "go around" what's up there.)

Now...ask yourself (with the SAME OLD ADAGE: "FOLLOW THE MONEY")
what would be the "agenda" in presenting a science paper
that seems to be DISINFO about LaViolette's theory--AND
WHY APRIL 2019?

CashUnderMAT

Here's your answer...I believe they are "skewing" this
soft disclosure from Dr. Douglas Vogt (link and video
below.) Davidson (of suspicious observers) has already
stated in his own video series on VOGT'S "Clock Cycle"
that the SOLAR MICRO-NOVA may be triggered by an in-bound
Galactic Super Wave. In THAT case, skewing Laviolette's
theory ALSO would skew the Vogt material. UDECIDE!

The milky way galaxy is speeding through the universe at 1.3 million miles per hour, if it encountered dark matter/dark energy negative mass traveling at similar speed in the opposite direction...

Well, perhaps from there you'll find the answer.
