Anyone watch "Chernobyl" miniseries?

I just watched episode 1 and its angering and frightening. The Soviet political system does not function well in an emergency. They are combating radiation with party politics.


When workers tell the supervisors the core blew up, they are told to pump water into a nonexistent core to cool it. Instead of evacuation, they lock in the town and cut off communications.

There are pieces of control and nuclear fuel fuel rods scattered in the parking lot but the officials tell the worker reporting that he didn't see it.

It just gets worse from there. In know we don't have the best emergency system BUT not near as bad as Soviet Russia.
