You are naive to think it hasn't been, and that the weaponization tests were not the start of the first epidemic a few years ago.
 Quoting: Pooka

I think it survives long enough to be transmissable in a sneeze zone.....but that would be the feature a weaponizer would focus on most.
Thats what has made it such a joke. You had to chase em down and shoot em up to get em and only another 10 billion later, at least as far as a sneeze if its virulent and hits a mucous membrane fast!
(I would take goond and a chainsaw to get my money back)

But there has been a spook all along that this one seems different but no one is real precise on "how?"

But its still a hollywood presentation and prepare for supply shortages is the thing to do. Government stunts and savages are a much larger threat to you than the guiness book of world records most failed bio weapon effort.

The medical advice for "curing" ebola on that page is bunkum. I wouldn't even link that page because some will read it and say "Okay, no problem if we get it - I know how to cure it." Bad idea.

Ebola is not only devestating as a pandemic, it also has secondary transmission for male survivors as a sexually transmitted disease.

Hard to believe the incubation period in male survivors is 3 months. That would be hard to contain, especially in 20-something males.
Embrace the cognitive dissonance.

For prepper alcohol, it might be better to purchase grain alcohol or vodka pints and store them. Some may be packaged in plastic containers. These would have better seals than the drug store alcohol bottles.

They've tried to stop them from doing this, but they'll go so far as to steal the corpse and do it anyways.

Re: Ebola Watch
The people in the areas currently most affected by ebola have customs. We have customs - what do you always have for Thanksgiving dinner? How long has that been a custom in your family?

These people are living with customs thousands of years old. They have not had educational opportunities, so they are doing what their parents and grandparents and great-grandparents and back many, many generations have done, because this is the way things are done. I would hope people here could understand that.

They eat bushmeat. Yes, they do. They have done for thousands of years. It's bad to do now - but they do not have any reason to understand why that should have c hanged - they can tell you fifteen generations back that ate bush meat and were fine, and so on up to today.

One of their burial customs, the way they grieve, is that all the friends and family of the deceased handle the body, help wash the body, help wrap the body. Have done for thousands of years. This is the way they grieve, just as we have our own customs of grieving, though ours are not nearly as old. Trying to explain to them why they must not do this any longer isn't working - because back twenty-three generations they did it this way and see no reason to change today.

If the WHO people take away the bodies, preparatory to burning them or burying them in a manner specifically for ebola deaths, the families do their very best to retrieve the body so they can bury it "properly", according to the wisdom of their people.

Those who are shocked, who laugh, poke fun - these are people who only know about the world what they know in their own back yard. They have not read books, traveled to other countries and cultures, and think that everyone should do what they do. Thank God we don't, but you see - that is their custom, and was their parents' and grandparents' custom, and it is good enough for them.

See the analogy? So those of you laughing, making fun of those suffering the deaths of their loved ones - we see your customs, too. Plainly.

They could say a couple well-placed nukes would stop the spread of our near war with the ME, as well. Meaning take us out, as you would take them out.

I believe all peoples are on this earth, all native cultures, for a reason. Muslims are not a native culture - they appeared when an illiterate child molester and serial rapist in the desert decided to make up a religion of his own, to see if he could have control over people.

Firefighters can only resort to damage limitation and watch helplesley as forest fires rage out of control as fresh outbreaks occur amongst and behind them.

This is the real risk with Ebola, it is like no other pathogen and deservedly earns it's lethal reputation. Even with the vaccines, and modern health centers, they could be overwhelmed quite quickly with entire communites being quartentined. And I'm talking about the West and Europe here.
