Were High End Video Games Military Games Created To Recruit
I was just thinking it seems a bit suspicious that right after Gulf War, high end military began to appear on the scene. As the government became more and more entangled in the Middle East, the games that came on the market became more realistic. Eventually many of the games provided missions ( mind control) where the object was going after bad guys (Middle East) Just wondering if anyone else thinks this was all done to get young people to join the military and play an extended real life version of the game. In other words were these games just brainwashing, mind control, MK Ultra, etc....

Call of Duty came out in 2003. Military is currently low on recruits. When I was in High school they NEVER promoted military as an option and still dont. I talked to school kids and they say its only the Universities who push the kids to enroll to make more brainwashed liberals. Id be more worried about Universities as a psych op than the military

I went to a Armed forces day and there was empty bleachers, sparse crowd except for a few old people and veterans.

I know and came across thousands of gamers in military themed games, yes some of them are in the military or they are cops in real life but none of them mentioned gaming as the influence, it was always cause a family member joined and they carried on the tradition

Just cause you game, doesnt mean youre cut out or eligible for the military. it takes a mindset and top physical fitness. Most gamers I know are either too small with disabilities like autism or too overweight

The fit ones usually dont game that much, the most potential recruit is someone whos already into physical fitness and who is patriotic and ready to serve our country

It definitely was. I downloaded America's Army for free. The first thing I did was shoot the instructor and I was thrown in the brig. I just wanted to see if you could. Yep, you could. cool2

Thank you for your service

Id be careful feeding the OP cause hes just promoting old paranoia that gaming might be linked to prepping someone for violence and or brainwashing. Ive been listening to that crap for years and there is NO correlation

On the bright side, it might inspire some to join but theres always other reasons people join the service

OP is looking at it with wrong intent

.
... and these video games had UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES ... does anyone remember the story of PANDORAS' BOX? ...
.
Pandora's box is an artifact in Greek mythology, taken from the myth of Pandora's creation in Hesiod's Works and Days. The "box" was actually a large jar given to Pandora, which contained all the evils of the world. Pandora opened the jar and all the evils flew out, leaving only "Hope" inside once she had closed it again.

.

Our family celebrates The Lord's Feasts:

Fools and the dead don't change their minds. Fools won't and the dead can't.

When you tear out a man's tongue, you are not proving him a liar. You are only telling the world that you fear what he might say. Quoting: CountryWise

Amos 5:13 - Therefore at such a time the prudent person keeps silent, for it is an evil time.
