The Amish are fanatic about being good neighbors and paying their fair share. Even though their buggies don't require registration, many communities will estimate the damage their buggies do and voluntarily tax themselves to pay the road department. While they are exempt from social security when working for another Amish owned business, they often do pay taxes. As we know, they do not receive any benefit for those taxes and as pacifists, I'm sure they are just as upset to see where that money goes in the end.

I appreciate your sentiment though. If I have children I'm going to let them have the choice to join the system or not after they see both sides of the equation.

Don't you think it's messed up that the initial tax threshold for capital gains tax is like double the threshold for earned income? It's like the system is rigged towards people who have more wealth.

I don't pay tax on income because I am no longer liable for it. I voided my 'contract' with the IRS.

So he stopped paying income taxes in 1994. 11 ARMED IRS goonies raided him in 2008.

He served 24weekends in jail, and then 5years probation.

The federal income tax was unconstitutional for most of our county’s existence.

The founders of this country would have never agreed to it.

We should repeal it.(From his X account.) Someone tell Tom to read George Mercier's book, Invisible Contracts, and he will learn that the income tax isn't about any law, but it is by contract. To not be penalized for not paying up you simply have to void your contract with the IRS..)

So you think it's fair that someone who makes 30k per year working should have to pay taxes but someone who makes 30k from investments shouldn't?

Let's also not forget a lot of wealth is handed down from parents, so not every dollar in an investment was earned. Kind of like how your daddy gave you a business.
