babies are developed with ketones, not glucose! | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 38799400 Canada 05/26/2019 08:42 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Pregnant women produce more ketones to develop the baby and babies are born in ketosis. It takes an infant 3 hours to get into ketosis and an adult 13 hours. People saying glucose is our preferred energy are liars! The body uses glucose first because it damages the body by causing aging. ketones are what we are perfectly developed from, people blame God for not being perfect when really they need to blame their diets! Quoting: chasity this video is only 21 minutes long and what prompted me to look into alzheimers was when my neighbor was wondering around in my front yard the other day and didn't realize she lived across the street. I didn't even recognize her, I just wanted to hug her she was so different, looked different too because she lost a bunch of weight. [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] Wait. Which one of you got Alzheimers? |

I'm 54 and two years ago I began to develop terrifyinh memory problems. I began to research 12 hours a day for weeks and found the solution for me. The answer? Ketones. Exactly as you share. You see, the brain loses the ability to use glucose as fuel and the brain cells die off and cannot be replaced fast enough. Why is this? BC people in the US went from eating 4 pounds of sugar a year to 134 pounds of sugar a year! Insulin does not pass the blood brain barrier but glucose does. The brain does have a chemical to mitigate high glucose levels but it is not designed to handle the carb heavy diets of the Standard American Diet (SAD) diet. Once I switched to a healthy fat diet with very limited carbohydrates, my memory and sharpness came back! Praise God! I now eat things like: Avocados, olive oil, fish, meats, vegetables. My carbs mostly come from fruit smoothies. I'll eat limited quantities of rice occasionally or pizza once in a while but I'm careful to limit my exposure to foods that convert to glucose quickly. Thank you for posting and I hope this helps other GLP family or their family. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 34506380 United States 05/26/2019 09:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Interesting video OP, thanks for posting it. Over the last 5-7 years I have been doing water fasting occasionally. First it was a couple days, then it was a week or two, and then my last one was 41 days. Each time my body got better at living off of fat as an energy source. On my first fasts I was extremely cold and had almost no energy. My body just didn't know how to utilize fat for energy very well, because I had rarely been in ketosis ever throughout my life until that point. By the time I did my 41 day water only fast a couple years later, I had about 60-70% of my normal energy, and I was up and doing things the entire fast. I dressed warmer than normal, but I wasn't cold as long as I did that. I even went to a bunch of garage sales on day 40. As my body slowly gets better at utilizing fat for energy, I find myself naturally starting to like the smell and/or taste of sugary foods less and less. My body still wants and feels like it needs carbs, it just wants more complex carbs. One of the carb foods my body likes the most right now is pearled barley. That has a very low glycemic index compared to many other things. |

I'm sure you wish you knew what you know now then too. You are doing great to keep yourself healthy and sharp! chasity (OP) User ID: 77360012 United States 05/26/2019 09:47 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I never ate carbs as a child. My family used to make fun of me because all I ever wanted to eat was the blubber from the meat they cooked, and lots of salt. I was active and healthy and thin, I remained in ketosis for most if not all of my growing years. I had no idea at the time but all my family was overweight except for me. I also drank apple cider vinegar by the cap full straight out of the lazy Susan when I felt a craving, I was never hungry. grass fed sardines |
