Is Sedona evil?
I remember when I was into “New Age” practices, i.e., meditation and not eating meat, I was planning a trip to Sedona. While I was on the computer planning it, a spirit knocked a file box off my closet shelf. There was no rational explanation. I believe it was a warning not to go there.

I was there, for the first time ever, just a few weeks ago. It was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. No dark undertones that I could detect. Of course, that doesn’t mean that your “warning” was illegitimate. Maybe that particular time just wasn’t a good one to go there.

Or keep you from it...

I live in Verde valley...just down the road from Sedona...actually see it from the back yard...Wonderful place...magical...but over the years it has become very commercialized and over priced...But still, it is defiantly worth the time to go there.

Most of the folks out here are very friendly...and it's calm and peaceful out here...you may want to reconsider it.

Also, if you do come out, I recommend Jerome as well...fun little hippy town..lots of good vibes and spiritual...Some of the locals say Jerome is better, but I like them both... :)

Hope this helps...

Yea I got family in that area. Sedona is awesome! Jerome is cool too! The whole area is magical. Not evil. If you go to any Anasazi ruins you may get some really scary spirits but I mean they weren’t “evil” just because they were cannibals.

lol

As far as vacation time goes...Over the last 25 years or so... we always ended up in Sedona, for some strange reason...and we always had some special spiritual things happen while being there...

So it was no surprise that God wanted me to move out here recently.

As far as spiritual things go...you can sense it out here...

Yes, there are a couple of places that "feel" off, but you get that anywhere really and we avoid those places, but over all, it's a great place to visit / live.

The roundabouts are eeeevil!

Just stay as far away from the town as you can, get into nature, and there’s no evil. People are generally evil and AZ is a fucked up place.
My metaphor of Sedona is: a 90-yo bald, trust fund baby driving a convertible Lamborghini. Just, wrong.

Tis a fact, there's evil shit everywhere. Growing up in the area, I've had friends that were ritually sacrificed in the late 80's in Prescott. Everyone knows who did it but the police wouldn't touch it. With my own eyes, have seen the blood soaked caves outside of Prescott Valley and in Cottonwood.

Good times are defiantly in Jerome. Jerome was awesome before they closed the mall down in the late 70's or maybe it was early 80's. It's still cool save all the pagan curios. The Ailanthus altissima trees are just as beautiful as they are destructive, and if you sing really bad, people will pay you to shut up outside Tlaquepaque :) Sitting atop Mingus Mt. is an awesome place to watch lightning storms. Good times indeed still, there is an superfluous evil wind that blows through there.

Peace

I see Sedona out my back porch, thank god I live in Cottonwood. I would never want to live in that tourist hellhole. Traffic. Idiots. Hippies. Cops, lots of cops. Ordinances that are idiotic as the town council there. As for evil, nah... just a place with nice looking rocks and canyon-y area that is very cool to look at and soak your feet in Oak Creek.

We have owned a family retreat there for over sixty years now. It seems to me that Sedona is somehow a place where the veil between worlds is more essential passed through by humans and various spiritual beings as well! Most people who visit or live there feel this energy and find themselves feeling much closer to the Divine than they do in any other place(s)

I'm in Sedona now at our vacation home. We love the great hiking and sightseeing but we're not into the New Age stuff. Sedona isn't evil it's just a beautiful, busy, tourist town. Some come here for meditation and other mystical activities but I think that is a very small percentage of visitors. Mostly I see hikers, mountain bikers, off roaders that just come to have fun in a beautiful place

WOW…I try to avoid Prescott Valley and Phoenix as much as possible…Just too hot and weird for me…I’m pretty simple when it comes to life...However, there is no doubt some weird things have happened out here…You can sense it from time to time.

Mingus Mountain, which is right outside my front door, is awesome. The storms that come over Mingus and into the valley are wonderful to behold.

And thanks for the info…I will stay away from the caves… :)

Sedona can be frustrating but we love it as a getaway from Southern California. Funny that we ended up with a vacation home here as we are ultra-conservative but we love hiking and the views are awesome. I spend a lot of time in cottonwood, mostly at the Home Depot, lol. Great to see local GLPers

One more thing about Sedona and life in general…Spiritually speaking, what you will get from Sedona depends on where you are at spiritually, but life is like that pretty much too of course…

Sedona gets around 4 million visitors a year…all “looking” for something… :)

Sedona seems to be too culty - the back country of the Grand Canyon was much more interesting.

Jerome is just weird. An entire small city scrunched on top of a mountain with no parking in a state full of wide open spaces. I almost got laid there, but didn't, so it is sorta pointless.

It is a shame but true. Humans look for pretty, shinny things on the outside but rarely question what they see
