HELP!! How do I find out if someone was actually in the military?

If he says he was in the Army ask him what his MOS is if he says he was in the Air Force ask him what is afsc was

simple start..find out what branch he claims to be from..then ask where he was sent for basic training

No. Won’t work. For the record...I’m already well-versed in military jargon and acronyms...as is said person in question. No amount of questioning will prove that this guy wasn’t in the service. I’m looking for a way to verify ON PAPER that he was never in the armed services. ON PAPER, damnit!!!

military that does paper work has a special way of filling out the date on paperwork...they can recognize each other that way

We had the Stolen Valor law for a short while then it was struck down in court.

I was told by the guy that runs one of the stolen valor websites that the government actually has NO database of who got medals or not.

You would have to get a copy of their military records.

first off..they make you put your suitcases on your bed..and DI comes looks at it all...no matter what you got in the suitcase they insult and berate you..one guy from california had suitcase full of knifes...he got sent back home pronto

one guy in my flight got in two fist fight..so they sent him to the mental ward of the hospital...and of course that meant he was gone too

If it's a scam talk to him privatly, some people can't take the fall publicly and would rather die than admit they lie, besides being dangerous.

PS: You will have to keep checking by date ranges. For example, if you believe they were in the military today, leave today's date. If you think they were discharged in 2010, you would have to try each month, before you will get a hit.

It's important for us to know which branch he was in in order for us to help you. You can know all the "jargon" you want, there are certain things only a true service member would know.

Military members know their social security number by heart...they can tell you their number without having to look it up..it was one of the first things we were demanded to learn..learn it or die

we had one guy who already shaved his head before we got their but since DI was asshole to everybody he made sure he told him in front of everybody else..don't matter we gonna cut it all off again

all clothes in one locker had to be folded up in 6 inch squares..which is fine, but we not allowed to use a ruler, eventually somebody figure out how to do it.

But one airman asked..sir, how are we supposed to know if our underwear is folded in 6 inch squares...DI pretend to think it over and keep saying ...6 inches, 6 inches..anybody here not got 6 inches...well one guy raised his hand..DI eyes light up like full christmas tree...he say, Thacker you not got 6 inches..and Thacker say no sir..DI asks, Thacker..you got a girlfriend and Thacker says no sir...DI laughs and say you never will have

I got copies of my DD-214...and two VET HOSPITALS got copies of them on their computers

he was issued a DD-214 paper when he finished the military.
