Four people were hospitalized, including one Chicago police officer, after a man was shot while driving and went the wrong way down a street Sunday morning in Englewood.

Around 3:20 a.m., the 23-year-old man was driving a Hyundai Santa Fe in the 1200 block of West 73rd Street when a bullet struck him in the foot, according to Chicago police. He fled the shooting by going south on Ada Street, which was the wrong way.

The Hyundai crashed into a Chicago police squad car driving east on 74th Street, police said. An officer from the vehicle was taken to a hospital, and his condition was stabilized.

The 23-year-old was brought to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized and where his two passengers, a 26-year-old man and 25-year-old man, were also taken. The younger passenger was in critical condition, and the other was

Attempting to enforce law in those areas is just a waste of time and resources. Just cordon them off and send a truck in to pick up the bodies on a weekday anytime before 11am while they are still asleep.

Thats pretty much what L. E. does in Chicago. Why risk lives of police officers to protect drug dealers and other criminals?

The part that hurts though are the innocent grandmothers, and children and others sitting on their porch who are killed by stray bullets.
