Friendships require real interaction. Those that have a lot of social media friends spend a lot of time at their computer.It is the elderly and disabled that seem to be on it and rely on it. No different then sitting in front of your computer. Really if you truly are enjoying life you are not taking pictures. Last few trips I went on I rarely took picture and enjoyed the scenery. Social media can be helpful by sharing information quickly and great live encyclopedia. Friends and followers are not real- same with texting friends. In person or phone call is real. Social Media interaction has made us lonely. |

I learned that the hard way the last few days... It seems really sad. But in fact it's not. It's quite relieving. Family alone has enough pressures without outside interference. Once we accept this little bump in the road it's a lot easier to accept people and "love" them regardless of whether or not they love you. In fact...once learned you really could care less what they think about you. Another thing that is strange is that you'll find people you like...that absolutely despise you. Weird...I know. I'm not having the best relationship with most of my family either, so I thought my friends were my family. Boy, was I wrong! Words of wisdom, Chip! Will remember them. |
