Saying that white settlers acquired the land fairly is a big lie. Even though I have no interest in defending black South Africans, I just have to say that I know. While going through rural South Africa 13 years ago, I was very appalled by what I saw. The whites herded the blacks to small portions of rocky land and took over all the land that could be farmed. I was surprised that the situation was still like that after eleven years of black rule then. What I saw helped me to understand how bad apartheid really was.

The reason why black South Africans have not quickly taken back South Africa from whites most likely will be due to fear of the economic implications. The way the blacks were herded by the whites for centuries made it impossible for the blacks to learn modern ways of agriculture, business, etc. If the black politicians hurriedly took back South Africa, the blacks will not be able to handle anything properly.

For example, black South Africans are amazed that Nigerians could manage petit businesses. They just are not exposed in a lot of things. They were herded like animals for decades.
