No it's not going to be alright. The river is nearly above flood stage. Heavy rain already flooding New Orleans. Storm keeps moving further east. The east side of a storm is the wettest. They know the levees will overtop. They are unsure if they will even hold. Worst case has always been a storm surge coming up the river. In normal circumstances where the river is much lower than it is now it's bad. In this case where it's already lapping a few feet from the top it's unthinkable. Predicted 2 feet of rain, saturated ground, pumps can't keep up, levees overtopping is not going to be alright. It took weeks to months to get the water out after Katrina. It's a bowl below sea level. If the river levees break couldn't even estimate how long it would be before things would be alright again.

Between this and the impending Cali quakes there could be mass casualties near L.A. and in LA.

Have dear friends, spirit siblings, in both locations. Very dear. To them I said GET OUT! If it ends up being "alright" at least you got out of the city for some fresh air for a few days...

The mayor needs to call for at least voluntarily evacuation.

Not meaning to sound harsh. I'm feeling the pressure from the coast.
