Real interest rates have been negative for some time now.

Monetary debasement has been running 5-6% per annum, but rates are a third of that. Essentially, negative in real terms.

For your information, just encase you never read the world economic reports in full, we were in a depression all since the end of Bush presidency and all through Obama's presidency. Why do you think the states were hurting and jobs were that could be found, it not taken by imported workers, were part time and those were being taken by people working more than one other the 26 hr jobs a week. This made it almost impossible for others to find one. The people working did not walk off, there were many waiting and hope someone would drop dead, it for real, just saying when someone needs some or someone is standing in the way of another person.

This is problem some groups in the USA seem to be blind too. They lazy, they could work if they wanted to, sure they could if you dropped dead, they would have moved up in that long line that were putting their name in the pot for it.
