Re: No Joke: I died and after 10 minutes with NO vitals, I was resuscitated.
This happened several months ago. I'm 60 years old. It was a "medical mistake" that was made during a very minor procedure and the doctor screwed up.

Perhaps the doctor thought he'd fixed the mistake, but something busted lose and I ended up back in an ER where they made a few more mistakes which resulted in my dying from exsanugination (blood loss). I lost "more than 40%" of my blood and my heart stopped.

I was resuscitated after more than 10 minutes with no vital signs. If you'd told me that I was in heaven for several HOURS, I would have believed you. I went to heaven and had a phenomenal experience however...

Heaven sent me back, and when I came back, I was healthier than ever. Several medically documented health problems were gone, to the astonishment of the doctors.

A spiritual being told me that I needed to come back, but didn't offer an explanation as to why. I loved what I saw "over there" and felt the most perfect peace you could ever imagine. I wasn't "nearly dead." I was completely dead, and my heart had stopped for 10+ minutes.

My kids are grown, I'm retired, and I'm not sure why or how I got saved when other people don't.

It's pretty confusing. I'm not sure what it is that I'm supposed to do with the rest of my life.

Re: No Joke: I died and after 10 minutes with NO vitals, I was resuscitated.
The three most important questions a man can ask himself:

Who is God?
Who is man?
and...
What does God want from man?

since you know heaven and the after life are real now based on your experience this are the questions you should try to answer.

Start with the Bible
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73937681

God want nothing from Man in flesh and this is why God had given his Spirits free will to play in the physical universal planes we had created from void.

And the Bible is largely distorted, and only those who are enlightened and wrought in God can read in-between false word and wisdom.

Especially those who have an ear to hear the universal string instruments and canticle lures and sometime angels singing.

And yes even to the profoundly deaf and those who had lost their hearing.

And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and out of darkness and obscurity the eyes of the blind shall see." - Isaiah 29:18 Vulgate Bible

Fascinating and wonderful! Thanks for sharing. Perhaps, you are here to make the difference in a grandchild’s life. If I hadn’t had my grandfather, I wouldn’t have made it through my late teens and early 20s. He truly played a huge part In who I ended up being. I sure miss him.

I was waiting to see if it was safe to post here...LOL.

It was the most perfect peace you can imagine times a million. I was unconscious at the moment of my passing but I awakened - with a start - when I died. The first thing I heard myself say was, "My heart has stopped. The medical staff failed to save me."

It was kind of a surprise to hear myself talk because I knew that I had died.

I floated for some time and then was taken into a brilliantly lit white room, and it was in the white room that I was told that I had to go back. I wasn't happy about this. I felt such peace and I never wanted that peace to end.

But I was told that I must return.

My husband killed himself three years ago, and I was really lost. I had been miserable and I was GLAD that this hard life was over. I was told that when I came back, my life would get much better - and it has - but there are still some hard days. More than anything, I'm not sure what I'm doing here.

Yes, I am a woman. And a widow. Shortly after he killed himself, I posted here about the despair and depression I was experiencing, and some kind-hearted fellow widow responded with words that saved me. Her husband had killed himself soon after their marriage, and she told me, "I get it." She also said that it took "about three years" to get back to something approaching normal.

I printed out her post and put it on my mirror and read it every morning. She said that I would survive my husband's suicide and she was right.

My "death" occurred at 2-1/2 years after my husband' suicide, and it really was a reboot.

As to the other questions:

Someone asked, "What did the angels look like?" I couldn't say that there was a look, beyond being made of light and love, and that's not a look. I guess. LOL. When they talked to me, it was more than just words; their words came with an infusion of knowledge and THAT was very powerful.

After I was back, I could still feel them everywhere. Someone else said, "Maybe it's like another sense opened up, enabling you to experience them" and I'd say that's a very good analogy.

The angels (or spiritual beings) were the epitome of light and love and peace. They talked to me, they made me laugh, and they sang me the most beautiful songs you can imagine. I told them, "I'm not going to be able to remember this song" and they said, "We know. Just enjoy it now."

As a consequence of this Temporary Death Experience, everything shifted. I saw the world in a very different way.

As soon as I returned from the hospital, I started selling off my furniture and possessions. Donated everything I couldn't sell. Then I sold my shiny new car. Next, I sold my house. Everything changed. Now, I live in a rented room and drive a used Prius. I've never felt so free in my life.

Peace and light is all that matters and it's all that I want and need.

And someone else here recommended the book, "Return to Omega." Thank you so much for that recommendation. It's exactly what I need. Coming back to this place has left me a little confused. What's real is what you experience after your heart stops. This earth thing is quite a big show.

And I'm still sorting it all out.

Thanks for supportive comments. They mean the world to me. As to the unsupportive comments, one day, you'll see for yourself! :D

I won't be able to respond again until late tonight. Sorry, but I have to run!

You did not die.
There is a reason they call it a NEAR death experience.
There is no return from death.

You experienced a Dimethyltryptamine rush.

Endogenous DMT is the source of all of these metaphysical type experiences.

Maybe you'll understand that those experiences are very different from each other before you 'die'. One just needs to study the myriads of detailed NDE reports to see that they all lack destinct characteristics of DMT trips (or similar psychedelics for that matter).

Also, there is no proof whatsoever that endogenous DMT even exists. It was merely postulated as a theory by the scientist who conducted the human DMT trials. Many people who read his book misinterpreted that part (read what they wanted to read) and ran with it. He later published an article specifically to clear it up, but it was already too late.

Maybe you are here to stop others from taking their own life. Maybe you are supposed to do a simple task, like smiling at a stranger, who is so depressed, they want to kill themselves. Maybe you should give talks about your experience with your husbands death, and how it impacts a family, not just the person who killed themselves. You could save many others by talking about your experience as a spouse of a person who committed suicide.
As for your death experience, you have seen what most others have not. You now know for sure that death is just the beginning of a life so wonderful it cannot be adequately described.

Re: No Joke: I died and after 10 minutes with NO vitals, I was resuscitated.
Firstly, Thank you OP so much for Sharing your Experience.

I am not aware of "Dying" but have had multiple & Similar Heavenly, Divine and Greatly Euphoric Experiences. and still to this day feel more connected to the other side of this reality. It changes your life exponentially and is as much of a curse as it is a blessing. I don't talk about it much since people think I'm making it up for telling my story yet they go to church every Sunday and claim to believe. Though I take a Christian Belief I am not convinced that the other side is truly a christian reality. that is OK as there is something truly wonderful on the other side of the veil.

I too have had Vivid, crystal clear and non verbal communication with someone or something on the other side. though I knew I was awakening and becoming aware of my new surroundings and became very excited, overjoyed and completely at peace (very euphoric) of my release from this reality, I seem to have caught my overseer off guard. I remember a concerning chuckle almost like what are you doing here your not suppose to be here now and then they gently pushed me back down into this reality communicating it's not your time yet. I vividly remember begging and pleading to be able to remain and all that was communicated was a comforting "all in due time". lol I never saw this entity/being the only thing I recall was an intense gap of white light between the two realities as though i was plugged/unplugged (detached if you may) into this one. None of this was linear it was like an instant flood of all knowing.

Something is up because I have this profound awareness that I am now in the spotlight and there are a lot of spiritual eyes on me. and they subtly are letting me know that they are there observing, guiding comforting.

When I step back from the trials and tribulations of this reality and quietly observe what has unfolded it become blatenly obvious that I am not in control of this ride and am only here as an interactive observer of this journey. sometime It seems like I get to choose or make choices and other times no matter what choice I make It seems like the choice was already pre-made no matter what I try to do and then I just relinquish and move on with the flow.

Unfortunately this Gift/Curse of awareness comes with great responsibility. And I have no idea how to wield it. Though I do share occasionally and reluctantly (due to disbelief of others). I believe that this awareness is meant to be a personal empowerment not to be necessarily shared verbatim but more of a personal graduation of ones spiritual enlightenment and may or may not be meant to be specifically shared with others. if it is meant to be it is only to be a light house for other travelers on their journey. You become the becon of light for others to follows. You become an ambassador between this reality and the spiritual. (all without a written instruction manual)

if you have an opportunity with an open your mind I recommend this read this from
another GLP thread as I believe it is all relevant and may give us a peek of who we may truly be: The enlightenment, a small book from 1982 that will BLOW YOUR MIND. No clues on the author origins. Puzzling.

It's a small free book called "The Enlightment" By D.Alan Holmes. Published in 1982. The book has a weird writing style and is narrate as if it happened. It's not the kind of book you read like others. The book will bring you into deep though and do a little "reality check". In this book you will learn how our reality is an illusion, and what an illusion actually is...

Ive seen 45min come backs.

10min is a LIE but quality CPR helps.

Raise feet
Keep warm
Evenly spaced chest compressions
Even air exchanging
Keep talking to the victim. They can hear you
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35676288

Ummm...CPR doesn't work with exsanguination. I bled out and my heart stopped.

I was resuscitated with electricity, and infused with massive amounts of fluid.

There's more to this life than we can begin to understand. When decisions are made at a spiritual level, as they were with me, the material or mortal picture has to give way to the spiritual facts.

Of that, I am sure.

That is amazing, what was it like? What did you see/ experience?
 Quoting: eekers

During this experience, I had the most mental clarity that I have ever known. EVER. It was like "life" was the dream and dying was waking up.

BTW, I don't call it a near-death experience. I call it a "temporary death experience." I was not near death. I was dead.

My heart stopped. My blood pressure went to zero. That's medically documented. I was resuscitated. And it was FUN when my soul popped out of my body. I popped right out like toast out of a toaster. It was very dramatic.

Someone asked, "Do I fear death?" No, not at all. My passing was very peaceful. I lost consciousness, finished bleeding out and then died. Exsanguination is a peaceful way to go - after you get past the messy stuff.

One consequence is that now, I don't fear death. In fact, when I was dead, I was grateful that this earth experience was over. Really grateful. It's not been an easy life. And I was thinking, "Well that was easy! I wish I'd known how this was going to end and that would have been one less thing to worry about!"

Yes, I really did think that! :D

Fact is, we wake up when we die. Dying was the best thing that ever happened to me. Truly.

I'm just not sure what I'm supposed to do now.

As to a lawsuit, I decided not to sue the doctor(s) involved. Whatever time remains to me, I want to have peace. Suing someone is like declaring war against them. I don't want to do that. My late husband was a lawyer. Lawsuits are a glimpse of hell on earth.

Peace, peace, peace. That's what I crave.
 Quoting: Hope_Full

Thank you for sharing this and, yes, lawsuits are hell, I agree.
In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined:

With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world,
And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor.
Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world
And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator.

OP, are you a man or a woman?
 Quoting: tcs

I think the OP stated that her husband killed himself 3 years ago.
"My husband killed himself three years ago, and I was really lost."
 Quoting: Deplorable Busterhymen

Trust me on this one. Do NOT become a organ donor...
And if you do think about it. keep stories like this in mind, but not only that..ask people that actually work with organ donors if they are donors and also read up on the procedures.
and dont forget... organs are only useful from non-dead people...
 Quoting: T-Man

I agree. I work in healthcare and think the entire organ donation thing is an abomination. Families don't know what they're getting into when they agree to donate their loved one's organs. The body can be kept "alive" until harvesting (I hate that term) is done. Which means there can be no burial until every thing useful is removed.

I find the whole process to be ghoulish. Don't even get me started on organ sales.
 Quoting: stillnotINK

I know this to be true. A friend's mother was an organ donor and one thing she always she did not want was to be on a ventilator. Sure enough, when it looked like she was near dying, they put her on one so they could harvest the organs.

Correct me if I'm wrong but think one part that is harvestable AFTER death are the corneas.

OP,

Good to hear you are back with us. Whatever you do, do not tell us what it was like over on the other side, because thats what folks came to this thread to hear about. Just keep them in suspense and tell them nothing ..... lol
 Quoting: Lupe_Ate_My_Taco's

 Quoting: Hope_Full

I would suggest finding a "Discussion Group" of folks who have had YOUR experience, or a similar one.

I have met with two other people who have experienced an NDE, or similar experience. They were left with a lot of uncertainty as well. They were permanently and radically changed persons afterward. (Who wouldn't be?)

It is impossible to describe it to anyone who has not experienced it.
