Every time I've traveled internationally for business or pleasure, the airlines knows where I've been and going. Some of it is due to US or other country's regulations. Airlines flying to/from West African countries should already know the nationality and destinations of their passenger manifests. That passenger should be charged with making terrorism threats. One never jokes about security (even before 9/11) in airports or aboard aircraft.

This is a true story, I had a co-worker who's first name is Jack. A younger employee upon seeing him board same flight upon recognizing him said "Hi, Jack!" without any thought. He learned never to do that again. Fortunately, the flight crew was understood the young co-worker's ignorance and everyone laughed.
