You will please be so kind as to not refer to people in this thread as "morons", which they/we are not.

You have not read very much of the thread or you would have seen how many times we repeat the research on frequency people touch their faces throughout the day.

Wearing gloves, the feeling, should remind people not to touch face, or at least to only use the back of the hand. Further, we encourage people to wear masks and wrap-around eye protection, which will prevent touching any mucous membranes.

Please read the thread before you make such judgements as you missed the boat with this post.

UH, this is about all of the places where ebola is believed to be, and yes, that includes groups on the border.

I have advised and continue to advise sheltering in place before long, and NOT GOING OUT at all, due to contamination risks and then risks from martial law. That fixes the foot wear problem.

Yes, you are correct that we need a decontamination protocol for those who insist on going out. Would you please see to posting that protocol? Thank you!

Further, I recommend purchasing pool shock, since bleach only remains effective for six months or less. Pool shock is powdered bleach, basically, which lasts forever, and is only mixed as needed. I use it as my laundry bleach and cleaning bleach, as well. Inexpensive and lasts forever.

Thank you again for bringing up the issues of returning home, for those who insist on going out after the epidemic hits. It's a very poor idea indeed, but some will, out of obstinacy or desperation. We look forward to your post listing the exact protocol required.

Ebola can survive at least a while even in cold climates, better than hot, we are told by some experts. Please research for yourself further, lest you be misled and contract it through accidental ignorance.

Thank you, UH. Yes, measles is a code word for ebola. We know there are many in quarantine. Interestingly, I saw a video yesterday - it is one linked here - where a person used photos of the "rash" of measles, dengue fever, ebola, and three other things, all in one group, asking if anyone could tell the difference between the rashes. OF course nobody could - they all look alike. The quarantining and checking for ebola is useless, because the only way to know is through blood work, prior to the beginning of the hemorrhage phase.

Not enough people are paying attention, and some come in here with the usual nothingburger-type comments, or worse, meaning they don't have a clue and will be among the first to contract ebola. We cannot help them if they refuse help. The rest of us, and more each day that it's pinned, are "getting it". Thank God for that!

UH, even though it is just you, you cannot be mobile during the epidemic or you will have it too! You have to be prepared to shelter in place for weeks or months, meaning not going out anywhere. If you go back in the thread, you will understand why. I've talked about it numerous times.

Meanwhile, do you have enough food, bathroom tissue, medications, everything you would need, already in your home so that when the time comes, and it is very near, you will not have to go out of your home at all? If not, please hurry along and do it this weekend.

For those who have not read the thread, I also recommend having a good supply of stored water on hand - it takes people to run the power systems, the sewer systems, and the water systems. If those people become ill, or choose to shelter in place with their families, those systems will not function. Therefore, be prepared for those eventualities. A way to cook and boil water if the power is out. Water and know how you will replace that water, if it stops running through your pipes. A way to deal with excrement if the sewer no longer flows. All these things must be carefully considered and dealt with by each of us.

I received a "message" from someone an hour or so ago, as follows: "fear monger tattletale control freak". Isn't it sad that some think to be warned, to be prepared, is "fear mongering"? They too will be among the first to become ill, unfortunately. So unnecessary. And yes, I ban those who post stupidity here. This is life and death, if the epidemic hits, and it will, apparently. I don't think ebola epidemic can be planned for a date, though it could erupt around then. Problem is, it could have already erupted in some areas, but that is hidden from us to prevent panic. Could be it will be announced after the Fourth - hard to say.

I expect the ME to pop off any time - it's getting hotter and hotter with rhetoric and attack sorties. The Fourth is a good possibility for all-out attempts, though it seems they are trying to force, literally force, the US to be the aggressor. All so unfortunate, but they are determined to take down both little and big satans, meaning Israel and the US, and turn us all into muslims or kill u s - what a crazy belief system and plan!

Please do not even consider using Hibiclens instead of protective gear. It is an adjunct to our efforts to stay well, not a substitute.

I wouldn't try making only one cup. Use a bleach jug you have emptied. Use a search engine and choose the directions which seem most accurate to you. It takes very little, but you must protect your airways during use of the powder. They strongly recommend a mask. I mix it on my stove, the porcelain part, of course, and turn the fan on to pull up any stray particles, while keeping my head away from the area. A mask may be wiser.

I visited your link, and watched the video. I would not trust these. They must be wonderful for dust - that's great!

N95, N100 or P100 are the only ones I know to stop the tiny, tiny ebola virus. I would have to see proof that these would work on the ebola virus before I would consider one.

People, I think a lot of you are not understanding the way the mask you choose has to work. It must not allow the ebola virus through. The ebola virus is tiny - so masks for other purposes do not work. Dust masks don't work, no matter if they are fancy, vented, all kinds of amazing things with charcoal and all. They DO NOT STOP EBOLA.

Do not waste your money on any other kind until and unless you can get a guarantee, in writing, that it will in fact stop the ebola virus. Any reputable firm will answer this question truthfully, or tell you they don't know.

A good friend on here thought he was all set because he had gas masks for himself and his wife. Finally he has understood to put those away until needed for gas exposure, and to purchase the correct masks for ebola prevention.

Sorry, people, that so many have the complete wrong idea on masks. I have said from the beginning of the first thread I did on ebola, have said it in any other thread on ebola, and have said it in this thread, like a broken record.

N95, N100, or P100. For any other mask, get it in writing from the manufacturer or seller that they will in fact stop the ebola virus, or put them away til you have a dust storm, and purchase the kind you actually need for ebola.

Let me add a couple hints - first, I put about a quarter of the container full of water before adding powder. Fasten on lid, shake like all get out before filling the rest of the way with water. Each time you wish to use some, shake like crazy for a little first, because it is not great at dissolving. I've never had powder or pieces left at the bottom, so the shaking apparently resolves the issue.
