Ebola warning US - Update: now believed to be airborne - heads up!!!!!

Pooka, I owe you an apology. I did not know that the N95 mask info has not been officially upgraded. My husband (who works for a manufacturer of these masks and others) has told me that you are right. Officially, the N95 mask is supposed to filter to .3 microns at 95% effectiveness. He has also told me that every in house test fails at less than 1 micron. So what I know is essentially 'hubby' intel, and I am sorry. I didn't know that. We have the P100 masks for our family because as you said, the P is oil resistant and the N is not. Also, the P100 masks do filter to .3 microns at 99.7% effectiveness. We also know that healthcare workers in Africa who are using the N95 masks are getting sick. Officially, the N95 mask will still protect you to some degree. I apologize for any stress, I truly am just trying to help.

I really appreciate all your hard work on this thread. This info is SO important. I hope you will stay encouraged, in spite of all the negativity you get on this thread.

I will continue to look for more studies on the masks and their effectiveness and I will link to anything I find that shows the failed tests. That way everyone can decide for themselves. I know that the P100 masks can be a bit pricey.

You mentioned that people in Africa wearing one type of mask are becoming ill. How do we know it is the mask and not some other source or failure?

I have not read anything recently about illness among caregivers there - could you give me a link or three, please? Thank you

We have had so many ACs today with the craziest ideas, and some combative as can be, insulting me in multiple threads, laughing about ebola, making stupid statements about it to mislead others - it's been quite a day, Lurcher!

The caregivers there, those who handle the bodies are wearing tri-fold or duckbill N95 masks. It may be that there are other forms of failure like incorrect donning of ppe or a tear in the suit or something. Here is a link showing them in the ppe:

Having read this, my impressions are thus:

So much care is taken to protect the caregivers, and to provide them the best possible information, education, and protection, which is only right - these people are doing a job none of us would gladly take on - because the job is so dangerous, so difficult, and we mustn't lose sight that each individual is required to don all this protective gear in jungle heat and humidity and cannot break protocol suddenly for a breath of cool air or to wipe sweat from a face - I can't help but believe that every bit of equipment they wear is considered the best possible protection.

I didn't see any discussion - if I missed it please direct me - of the protective equipment failing in any way. This includes the N95 mask. In fact, I am left puzzled that they have not been instructed to use the N100 or P100, if there is thought to be the slightest chance that the ebola virus is sickening them as a result of mask failure.

There was a time of failure, and resulting ebola cases among staff, in some way in 2014 which was found to be an issue during removing, or doffing, the protective gear, and that protocol was changed to include a person responsible for assisting in the doffing, and who was trained to make certain it was done in the correct order and with adequate caution. This change immediately reduced the number of illnesses among caregiving staff.

Thus I return to you, and ask you to tell me again - what was the information that caused you to determine that the P95 mask is not adequate against ebola? I believe you - that you are the loveliest and most sincere of people, and genuinely want to prepare and warn us of possible need to upgrade equipment is evident. I believe it was information given to your husband? Is this correct?

By now I am thinking I would like to order N100 for myself, and recommend this to others, yet I don't feel I have enough reason to recommend the upgrade. I would be willing to say the second is better than the first, but I cannot say why I make that statement.

Would you please share with us again why you felt so strongly in your original post about this change? If it is back channel information, in other words if your husband knows this to be fact, yet cannot tell us how he knows this, I would accept that. We receive a lot of news on GLP that comes from back channels such as that, and later proves to have been factual.

Regarding scarcity of masks - I well remember that in 2014 masks went from great availability and low prices to more difficult to find, and higher prices. Thus, whatever mask people are to purchase, now is the time to do so, you are entirely correct there!

As I consider everything, I think from now on I would prefer to recommend the N100, and explain the P100 in case people would prefer that mask, but I don't feel I have a reason to give for this change. Hope you will give me one.

Sorry, but you are mistaken. Ebola mutates super fast, and there's been proof found that it can be both airborne, and spread by bodily fluids. Scientists have done experiments with monkeys and came to the conclusion that it was spread through the airborne route. The virus will move into a person's lungs and set up shop there replicating itself. So, if someone with the virus starts coughing or sneezing you certainly can catch it from them by breathing in tiny water particles containing the virus from several feet away.

Bodily fluids are everywhere.

I paint, and I get paint on my hands all the time. I think I am being careful not to get paint anywhere else, then I look in the mirror and see paint on my face, in my hair, and on my glasses where I push them up all the time without thinking. There is paint on my clothes. If that paint was a virus like ebola, I'd be dead, along with most of the people around me who have been gifted paintings or buy paintings.

Infection protocols are very difficult to maintain. Not knowing for certain what sort of mask is correct, or what sort of gloves, or what sort of chemicals, or how to clean up before entering the home .... This is all too much for average people to integrate into their daily lives.

After Hurricane Katrina, everyone in this area knew those flooded homes were full of mold, mildew, toxic chemicals that leaked from appliances or came in with the flood water. Some people wore masks, some wore full-on hazmat suits to clean out their homes. A lot of people said, oh it's just water, or just use some bleach, the black mold is only on the surface of things. The mold was inside walls, under the floorboards, everywhere. A lot of people developed the Katrina Cough. A lot of people got sick.

I'm rambling now. I guess my point is that by the time an official guideline is handed down, it will be too late.

the seal of the mask is critical. i bolded the section that i take to mean the effectivenesss of the mask in practical everyday use. just wrinkling your face will change the seal of this mask. it has to sit tight against uyour skin all the way around the mask since everyone is shaped slightly different, there is no way to make a rigid mask that works for everyone 100%. you have better odds with a rubber mask.

for those medical ppl who are dealing with infected,they should be in full suits. saves $$ without and tries to give the impression that the disease is under control.that impression probably matters more in Africa.it also matters for them to keep workers or nurses. make the feel safe or they might get smart and quit. last thing they need is for a drop to get on their arm and then after they remove the gloves,transfer it to their faces.

what the mask does in a perfect lab test is not how they will act in a real world test. as POKA says the best way is to fully avoid being near the disease.

full suits would have some uses 1 is after the disease burns out to do any cleanup.there will be dead bodies. there will also be lots of supplies that can be scavenged and used.family and friends who show up can be isolated for 30 days and then put to work helping to grow food,rebuild society,defense,etc. when you deal with them a suit would protect you and allow you to stand outside and talk with them.

Interesting thread, thanks for the great information! This news about measles is concerning to me, especially in lieu of the increased occurrence of measles they've been hyping in the US's MSM (Coincidence? Hmm... dont recall hearing about spontaneous measles outbreaks in Congo...)

I've never had the measles, but I remember that years ago, it was regarded about the same as chicken pox. Not fun, to be sure, but not a great epidemic capable of mass fatalities, the way they seem to tout it today.

87,000 measles cases seems pretty crazy. I hope they aren't bioengineering some Ebola-measles hybrid. If they've introduced the measles virus, through any number of vectors, in hopes of it combining with or causing mutations in the Ebola virus, this would be very concerning.

Measles is an airborne virus it would be catastrophic if Ebola mutated between these 2 outbreaks.

Someone mentioned earlier the possibility of an ebola/measles hybrid. This could happen in theory, with the supposed measles and ebola outbreak in the Congo area going on at the same time.

Two different viruses can inhabit the same cell, this could result in a new virus made up of the parts of the other two. They say this only occurs rarely though. But with both diseases happening at the same time, and ebola's ability to mutate quickly, it would make for the ideal breeding ground for this to happen.

Also, from what I know of measles it wasn't an especially fatal disease. Not many people died from it. I heard they used to have measle parties, where everyone would bring their kids to get exposed, so they'd get it over with. Now they are saying large numbers of African people are dying from it? Perhaps they are actually dying from ebola, and they're reporting it to be measles. That's where the measles being code for ebola would come in. Either way you look at it, this is getting spooky.

All of you who know how serious this is might want to know I am constantly now receiving reds about being "sick" on the subject of ebola, fear-mongering, and worse. I delete the worst. These are all people who will be totally unprotected and in danger and there's nothing we can do for them. What a pity.

What you say is very true. However, bear in mind Agenda 2030. Population reduction is critical. Of course there is also the agenda of removing as many white people as possible.

I wish we knew even half of the machinations behind the curtains by the deep state, or the cabals, or anybody who has control behind the curtains. Or maybe we would not want to know. The numbers of people crossing the border from the affected countries could have been stopped before they arrived, by using militia, or armed forces, to cover the entire southern border. That didn't happen and still hasn't, so it is being allowed in. We just don't know everything going on and in some cases, ignorance is still bliss.
