Much cooler temperatures are ahead for your Friday forecast, but the cooling trend will be shortlived. High fire danger is returning for your weekend forecast and temperature are expected to heat up through the start of next week. A Red Flag Warning will be in place for the entire valley from 6am Saturday morning through 5pm Sunday afternoon. Gusty North wind and low humidity will be the big driving factors for high fire danger over the next few days. Winds will be out of the North to around 20mph with potential for gusts up to around 40mph.

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA - PG&E announced that it may shut off power in several North State counties on Saturday to help reduce the risk of wildfire.

The utility said that the potential power shut-offs could be within the next 18-36 hours.
