Why are so few prayers answered, does God not still perform miracles, or do the prayers not qualify?

You must pray, then, this way:
“‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. 10Let your Kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also on earth. Give us today our bread for this day; and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the wicked one.’
14“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; whereas if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Mt6:9

God has instructed that prayers be said in groups or in fellowship. They are more powerful that way. Yes, one can pray for guidance. It is best to pray in fellowship...

Think of it as if 1 person yells across a mile long lake. It is barely heard on the other side. Now do that with a hundred people yelling in unison. It is heard more clearly on the other side of the lake...

Now of course God can hear just one person pray, but it gives it more meaning when many pray...

B/c we would become like people who go through the drive thru at McDonalds and pitch a fit when our slop isn't ready in 30 seconds. Nothing worse than spoilt souls. Gimme gimme gimme.

Right, how many prayers ask "what can I do for you?"

My experience is that people don't do anything that commands them to do. But, always ask him to do whatever they want.

Does one have to be a qualified disciple of Christ to have his prayer answered?

this idea of group prayer and random people forming prayer chains for random issues suggest God can be pressured or that its some kind of democratic process.

Think about it. It doesn't work like that. Gods plan is Gods plan.

If you ask God for something in His will, be ready to participate and do the work to be part of the solution to get His help.

You cant talk God into anything.

There's a biblical account somewhere (might have been a parable) about an old woman who kept pleading with a judge who finally gave her justice because of her persistence.
