God has instructed that prayers be said in groups or in fellowship. They are more powerful that way. Yes, one can pray for guidance. It is best to pray in fellowship...
Think of it as if 1 person yells across a mile long lake. It is barely heard on the other side. Now do that with a hundred people yelling in unison. It is heard more clearly on the other side of the lake...
Now of course God can hear just one person pray, but it gives it more meaning when many pray...

It doesn't work like that. Gods plan is Gods plan. If you ask God for something in His will, be ready to participate and do the work to be part of the solution to get His help. You cant talk God into anything. There's a biblical account somewhere (might have been a parable) about an old woman who kept pleading with a judge who finally gave her justice because of her persistence.
