Atheists-materialists find it difficult to believe in anything they can’t measure, see or touch. They scoff at anything supernatural even being possible. Some minds just work that way, it takes all kinds to make a world.
Quoting: 3643297 LOL this is incredibly silly. Not all atheists think alike. We don't have one particular dogma that we adhere to other than not believing in a diety. Many of us, myself included, believe in a spirit world. I personally believe our spirit is eternal, individual as opposed to a collective spirit, and that this life is just one of countless lives that we've lived and will live. I just don't believe there is a diety. And there really doesn't have to be in order to exist. We are self-existent. We didn't need a creator. I don't have the answer how we came into existence, but then again, NO ONE else does either. It's all just speculation. If I were to find out there is a god, I would have to admit I was incorrect. I would also expect a god to be benevolent and forgive those of us who didn't believe. I would suspect that such an entity would not be so egotistical as to harm us for not believing. That would mean he's a true mental case. If he were vindictive and brutal, then he isn't worth worshiping anyway. Quoting: Tars Tarkas, Jr. I agree. Colleague of mine has been doing ground breaking research on the human consciousness at the quantum level. If testing validates the theory, then the next question is, where do we go, and what are we actually living in? Their is more to life then what your eyes simply observe.
