I've been waiting for a moment to say this. I was raised a Southern Baptist. I believed this shit into my 30s. Finally came around to realizing the waste of time and money I'd put into this ridiculous fairy tale. Prayer does shit. Reading the Bible does shit. Faith does shit.

You know what actually does something? Living life the way you want and not wasting any time with fairy tales.

My life is much better now that I've put religion behind me. I only wish I'd come around sooner.

Now if you were looking for a debate, Who says I have to believe in God? Only believers! But religious beliefs are not truths, They are established constricted ideologies for those of whom chose to accept them as truths and live their lives obediently and in accordance there of.

Now if you want to be philosophical about it this think of an alternative scenario . . . Imagine for one moment that there was no after life, Imagine this was your only shot at bat, this one life. Now think of purpose, Like what's it all about? Ask yourself this, if you accepted that this was your only life, wouldn't you live it to its fullest? And if you did, wouldn't that in itself make sense of what life is all about? Why does there have to be a defined purpose? Why get caught up in asking such deep questions for which there are no real concrete answers. If we could spend less time with our minds stuck in the past or preoccupied with things to come in the future and spend more time in the present, we just might realise the purpose of life is life itself. What you do with it that's up to you.

Lightning hit clay a gazillion years ago and wala conditions were right to spring simple life. Fast forward a few million years and we evolved to fish, lizards, even birds. Fast forward to now here we are! Now I'm told someone that exists on faith only out there someone created all this, sorry I don't buy it! At best we are a cosmic experiment gone crazy bad and abandoned.

I'm not satisfied with the limited Christian definition of what they consider God.

Their finite concept that God is some old dude floating around in Heaven that loves to send bad people to the fires of Hell is pretty shallow. The various Christian flavors are really adept at coercing blind faith and uneducated acceptance of parables as absolute facts. Christianity is excellent at stifling Spirituality.

I have grown past their dogma and have found a better understanding that fits my spiritual quest for truth.

You say there's a 'Creator'.... Okay let's go with that thought and ask the important and pertinent questions that need to follow...

A 'Creator' that creates everything out of what substance or material? What is everything made with if there is a 'Creator' that creates everything? If you believe you were created by something higher than you,then created with what??? Shouldn't that be the most important question?

You obviously can't answer this question by suggesting everything was created from 'nothing' that came before it... That's nonsensical I think we can agree...

The only way to answer such an important question is the suggest that this alleged 'Creator' must create things with itself, or from within itself...

But the critical thinking/perceiving cannot stop there... If everything that exists is created with and within what you allege to be a 'Creator' (deity)... Then this omnipresence that now exists makes up the totality of reality, and the notion of these distinct or separate 'creations' and distinct/separate 'gods/deities' found in various world religions is completely invalidated... It's a false construct, it's not reality...

There can be no separate or distinct 'you' and no separate or distinct 'creator' existing at the same time... Yet this is exactly what many religions try to claim...

Since you can't claim that everything that exists is created from nothing - the only answer to that question is that everything is created from something that already exists (and always exists)... And this something that already exists and always exists - makes up EVERYTHING... Omnipresence (existing everywhere and in everything)... And you cannot have omnipresence while claiming there is something separate or distinct from you (or anyone else)... You cannot have omnipresence and then refer to someone as 'godless' or that certain people die and go to a place where there is 'no god present'... Not possible... Yet religions push all sorts of fallacies and contradictions - with no accountability...

And self-proclaimed atheists who think/perceive that the physical body is the source of their consciousness or conscious energy - they also have it incorrect...
