I was a Christian for more than 20 years, as fervent believer as you are, maybe even more. Then I started to question and went after knowledge, graduated and understood all about religion and the fallacies related to it. I ask you the same question, are you affraid of getting out and learn? The internet itself contains everything you need tô know, you don't even need a degree. But you will not go after It, or will you?
