Lets get into nettles now. I don't want to abort this thread yet. It has become part of a library for people. [ link to pfaf.org (secure)] If you pick stinging nettle the correct way, fold the surface of the leaf. Leave the stings below you can simply make a wad of the leaf and you do not get stung. This is a very good plant to get to know. Like dandelions, it is a very early spring green. It has many uses as the link will show you. Patches here are cherished and most people with them keep them quiet. I know one behind a school and pick it yearly. Shhhhh....this is a very good plant to get to know. I haven't gotten into famine food plants yet, because I don't want to. This is a thrival food. As it ages you can then combine it with any weed you might find. I like comfrey and dock along with whatever you have. Nutrient dense.
