Unbelievable how the celery grows just from the base of the stalk! It is so fast, and now I can clearly see from the discrete number of tiny leaves coming up that there are many, many stalks growing!

If you have children, by all means purchase a stalk of celery and plant the stalk end - just so the children can see how it grows - they will enjoy and be fascinated, as well as learn a great lesson about growing food!
