OP: I'm old, Gay and an activist with over 40 years experience. Sat on so many Committees/Boards I can't count them all and once I organized the first Pride parade in my hometown, I filmed a documentary of the event.

I mention all this just to tell you that I RESPECT what you're doing... and -more importantly- WHY you're doing it.

I "retired" from my lifetime of Gay activism 13 years ago when I'd finally had enough of being used as a political pawn. I also believed that my once civilised movement had become weaponized and was blatantly being used to destroy society. That's when I bailed.

So, my best wishes to you and the rest of your organizers. I KNOW first-hand how much blood, sweat and tears.. and money[!] it takes and I sincerely hope it's all you wanted and more. CONGRATS[!] on snagging Milo - he's the PERFECT Grand Marshal!

BTW: if you do document your parade and offer it or sale... this is one old Queen who will gladly buy a disc!

Bravo sir. We have managed to weaponize the language of the left: "diversity, inclusion, equality," and turned it right back around on them. This will bring out all the haters, violent agitators, and angry leftists who really do not believe in equality; they believe in agendas and identity politics.

The whole world will be watching as either massive amounts of people turn out to support our movement, or as massive amounts of people physically try to oppress us.

This parade and ceremony is going to be huge, and might end up sparking something none of us are prepared for.

By the way, we are searching for a HETEROSEXUAL COUPLE to get married at our flag-raising ceremony at city hall. If you know an engaged couple who are looking to be a part of history, send them my way.

We have other ideas for the marriage ceremony itself, but planning is in the works and we cannot talk more about it at the moment.

This is just a recycling of the old Kinsey Reports which Gay people have used as ammo ever since Old Uncle Alfred posed his theories back in the 50's. I know all about "haters" - when I shot my documentary I went eyeball-to-eyeball against the notorious Fred Phelps - ours being only the SECOND anti-Gay protest his evil little clan organized. I learned some very valuable lessons as I quizzed that miserable old man and his Batshit crazy spawn: let them rave all they want and soon enough any RATIONAL person will see the truth and finally ignore them altogether. That's how we handled it.. and it WORKED!

So, rip a page out of the vocal Gay minority's playbook and NEVER BACK DOWN! Remember: you have morality -and most of society- on your side.

I know how weird it must be to hear a Gay man say all this... but that's what life is supposed ot be all about: we live and LEARN. And -believe it or not- alot of my generation of Gay people feel the same way... and we're disgusted at how the younger generations have twisted what we worked our asses off to achieve.

The amount of love and support like the ^^^ poster is amazing to me, considering how much hatred and divisiveness there is from Hollywood and political 'elites.'
