Like any culture... I've seen some dirty ppl in the D.R... and I've seen some clean-freaks.

One time I saw a woman- sweeping dirt... outside of her house.. to get rid of the candy wrappers, etc that were on it. You can call it raking... I would call it 'cleaning with a broom'.

And many are obsessive about keeping the front of their houses clean... using bleach, etc...

This is because for many households, it's like it used to be in the US... the woman stays home.. with the kids and the house, and the hubby is off at work... Something that we lost here in the US.

I think the government knows more then they are telling us.

Already lost. It's actually everywhere, including here. Two major factors make the largest and worst differences: the newly understood length of active virus life being a year, and the newly understood increased length of possibly carrying the virus before becoming actively ill, being up to 21 days.

We have people pouring over the border, many from the infected areas. They may appear healthy, if in fact they came through a monitored section of the border. If they sneaked across, as hundreds upon hundreds do daily, we don't know if they are actively ill in the beginning phases of ebola, or if they are carrying and not yet active.

Nobody is monitoring what comes across our northern border - did you know that? It is at least as porous as the southern, and perhaps much more so. Canada has taken in huge numbers of aliens - where from? Who knows! This is coming at us from southern border, northern border, international flights, boats - please do not believe anything you hear or read, about one person in the US might have ebola - that's garbage.

Situational Awareness, please. SA at all times. Have your gloves and masks? How about using them?

You "think"? Governments do everything possible to suppress any news that would cause the populace to panic. Believe wholeheartedly that we are not being warned and it is here. There will be no warning until the time of or close to time of martial law, causing everyone to remain in place.

Are you prepared to shelter in place for at least some weeks, if not some months? If not, why not?

Dirty and clean people are equally likely to contract ebola. Ebola is not a respecter of hygiene, neither personal nor household.

But if clean or dirty people breathe they might get infected.

This week concluded my doc appts for a few months.
Next is finding a grocery store that is low risk.
Gloves and mask in car. Mindful of my hands.

Keep in mind the survival rate for Ebola is currently much higher than it would be if it went out of control and overloaded the medical system. The primary reason why a decent amount of people survive Ebola is because they are able to get IV fluids. Patients will throw up any water that they drink normally, so IV fluids are a lifesaver. If Ebola were to truly explode, IV fluids would no longer be available to most people, and 90%+ fatality rates would occur.

If Ebola was really spreading out of control, the people in the best positions would be those who are able to completely seclude themselves for many months, or those who get infected first. The ones who get infected first would be able to get medical treatment before the medical infrastructure completely falls apart. Their survival rates would be much higher.

So right! Therefore, I officially declare this as a period of non-breathing. Not the clean nor the dirty - no breathing allowed, as it could lead to serious consequences.

Or 6 months later... ebola has been found to survive in sperm for that long with speculations it could be longer.

Incorrect. It has been found to last a year in sperm, and a considerable period in vaginal fluids.

Current survival rate is approximately 30%. That's not great odds.

It's not just intravenous fluids, although that's huge. It's also very large amounts of Vitamin C - intravenously if you can get it that way - mixed in water or juice if you have to buy a bag of it.

One must try to replace as much fluid as is lost with each event of diarrhea and each event of vomiting. That's a lot of fluid, but it is life or death to do so.

Once it becomes public, it's all over. That's why those of us on GLP are extremely blessed - those who pay attention and understand and believe sincere warnings.

By the time the gubmint admits we have ebola here, they will still downplay the degree, but we will be close to or into martial law to separate, ideally, the ill from the healthy. Won't work, of course.

If people do not have weeks to months supplies under their roof, they will be in serious trouble. There will be no further time nor opportunity to acquire these necessities, and going out will be very, very unsafe for multiple reasons.

Some of us have warned and warned - just hope the majority have paid attention and acted. If not, well, we did our best!
