For me, I think the issue is in being expected to cover up something that continues to do damage, especially when given the free range of secrecy in which to do so.
So, rather than being a one-time event, it's like watching a never-ending train wreck.

About the issue of something ongoing, you will have to just let go of that. There are a bazillion ongoing things that are bad, and none of us can do a damn thing about it. If you can't do anything about it, and I feel certain that you can't, then hand it off to the higher celestial beings to deal with it. You are only one person. No doubt about it, you would never have seen or become aware of some things if you had been able to do anything about them. Right? I didn't finish my post... If you had had the wherewithal to do something, it would have been hidden from you or you would have come to a bad end. Let it go. Nothing you can do.
