Business Idea: Thoughts?
I've been a Chef for a long time, and I'm thinking about starting a Catering business. Years ago I was the top Chef at the world renowned Restaurant de Bon Foodeux and today I have a wide variety of exquisite dishes that I could provide for potential clients to chose from. I'm thinking it would generally run $20-$40 per person for a plate.

I spent the last few days going over basic meals that I could serve for my catering business and this is what I've come up with. Let me know what you think, I really think I have a good business plan in place.

Main Course

La Nouille du Triomphe
A meal of pure bliss and flavor - a delicious plate of ramen noodles boiled in the purest of water. Noodles can be flavored with either chicken or beef seasoning.

Le Repas du Fromage Délicieux
A mouthwatering bowl of easy mac cooked to perfection in a microwave. Served with a side of peanut M&Ms.

Le Repas de la Faim de Grande Personne
A delectably and savory microwaved TV dinner. The dish comes with two pieces of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, freshly grown vegetables and a satisfying brownie that is heated to absolute perfection.

Le Sandwich Rouge
A truly phenominal sandwich consisting of ketchup spread over a carefully microwaved piece of bread, and then topped with another piece of bread. Comes with a side of mayonnaise for dipping.

Dessert

Le Plat du Lait et de la Céréale
A satisfying end to your meal, this dessert consists of a bowl of fruit loops served with either skim or 2% milk. Milk can be substituted with water for those on a diet.

La Pâtisserie Bourrée
Individually wrapped twinkies that have been microwaved to sheer delight.

I think I have a good variety for clients to chose from, and would like to get my Catering business going within a few months. Let me know what you think.

I can make a plate, the cost of the plate of food I send you, plus packing and shipping... I think roughly $150 should cover it all. If you want to work out a deal I can give you a call, just give me your phone #.

Well I'm not running a big restaurant, in fact it's not a restaurant at all. It's a catering business. I have the purest water around for my needs, so good on that end.

Are you sending out meals warm? To be honest, this is difficult..particularly if you get a lot of orders then need to scale up to keep the meals fresh/warm.

You are talking about ready-made package meals, that can be kept a few days in fridge/freezer, then re-heated, right?

I would add a salad for starters.

Make the Le Sandwich Rouge ... on top of a bed of lettuce. Replace the bread with a few croutons. Pre mix the ketchup and mayonnaise.

Good God, OP. Please don't foist poisonous, lackluster ingredients on the public for your profit.

You'll make more money when you guarantee organic. Otherwise, you're just slopping at the Walmart trough. Oh, Walmart has Organic now? Checked the EPA lately, on their relaxation of organic standards? Really! Do some upright food or mea maxima culpa for your GMO mediocrity (aaaand cancer).
