lol.

all foods and commodities are purchased first at wholesale lever BY CONTRACT AT A SET PRICE THAT CANNOT CHANGE.

When those contracts expire, you will indeed see prices rise.

smell the coffee yet?

Re: Tariff Fearmongering Hoaxes DEBUNKED. Prices Are NOT Rising!
"Neither the tariffs placed on steel and aluminum imposed a year ago nor the more recent ten percent tariff on Chinese goods pushed prices of goods sold to consumers up. And now we have price data from May that once again indicate no tariff pricing pressure on consumers.
...
Durable goods, products purchased by consumers and businesses that are expected to last three-years or more, are a good place to look for signs of tariff-led inflation. The producer-price data shows that prices of raw materials used in durable goods manufacturing fell 0.4 percent in April, the second consecutive monthly decline, and are down 0.9 percent from last year. Components for durable goods, the prices of parts that go into durables, were up just 0.1 percent in May and are up 1.6 percent from a year ago.

The nondurable goods category is where we might see signs of the China tariffs. Materials prices here rose 0.8 percent in May, a reversal of two months of decline in April and March. Compared with a year ago, however, prices are down 3.5 percent. Parts rose 0.1 percent for the month and are up just 1 percent compared with a year ago."

The tariffs are on the new product being shipped now...nothing that is currently here will go up.

You can't use logic with the tariff-tards. They will only listen 6 weeks from now when the sea shipments hit port and their dildos and bongs go up 50% overnight.

A national sales tax i what this is. Soon it will hit us hard and interest rates will have to go up to absorb the inflation, which will cause foreclosures and a greater recession.

Tariff-tards will soon be paying more for tents and buckets to sleep in the parks. F^cking idiots.

Re: Tariff Fearmongering Hoaxes DEBUNKED. Prices Are NOT Rising!
I deal a lot with steel and metals. I'm maga but prices have risen substantially in the past year. I can say quite confidently that all metals have gone up over 10%. And some of the parts sourced from China are being passed on to us and in turn is costing more. Even metal sourced in the us has gone up because the know they can get it, which is fine. Like I said I'm all about maga but to say prices aren't going up, I have seen different. That said. If it helps maga and doesn't hurt maga then bring it the fuck on. As of now people are paying so there is no problems.
 Quoting: Russian hacker

The price increases are aligned with overall inflation and not a special tariff-caused case, from the article:

"Let’s look at some heavy duty steel and aluminum products. Aircraft prices rose 0.1 in May and are up 2.0 percent from a year ago. That’s the highest annual price hike on the list so far but it is less than the overall rise in producer prices, indicating that this is not a tariff-led price hike. It’s also very close to the Federal Reserve’s target of 2 percent inflation."

"Prices of steel mill products, which are an intermediate good used to produce consumer goods, fell 0.6 percent in May. Prices for steel mill products also fell 1.7 percent in April, held flat in March, and fell 3.2 percent in January. On an annual basis, which now means comparing prices of products immediately after the steel tariffs and more than a year after they were imposed, prices are up just 1.1 percent.

A month ago, steel mill prices were still showing a steep 5.8 percent increase on an annual basis. In February, prices were up 12.6 percent compared with the year prior and in October they were up 18.6 percent. In other words, the tariffs are not inflationary in the ordinary sense of the word. They resulted in higher intermediate prices paid by businesses but did not create ongoing price pressure."
 Quoting: Weyoun

This.

And anyone who work hand in in importiion of metal, they should have heard of ChiCom has shit their bed trying to relabel their metal as "made in X, Y, Z..." to avoid tariffs. Ask yourself why is that if they have confidence in their ability to control the market.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77549932

Look, y'all call divide x by y and spin me round but even the steel coming from Canada has been inflated. Whether inflation or tariffs, the prices of whole goods has gone up and has moreso in the last year than previous years. To be clear, I am good with it, until it affects business to where no one wants to spend. We are close, this cannot keep going. It's a fine line but that line is about to be crossed. We are already seeing it.

It lit a fire under Canadian gov ass to take action in their country. Same with X, Y, Z letting ChiCom conducting fraud.

They're not, not yet. China has been selling below market value to crush American competition for over a decade. They will continue to sell below market value and it will still be like there are no tariffs. I think the only industry that caved to the tariffs is China's paper market, as they've completely pulled out of the US market forcing a lot of paper companies in the US to buy from other sources, causing prices to rise. Norpac for example is taking huge advantage of this raising prices across the board and has fucked many people over.

Yet, retail prices continue to rise across the board despite no tariff influence.

In other words, the tariffs are just cover...

Retail prices have always rise when the economy is growing. It's called inflation, which is the result of income growth and money multiplication due to borrowing. Basic economics.

You do realize liberals are flattered when you call them gay? It might be a bit much, however, if you call them pedophiles. But eventually they'll come around to taking that as a compliment too.

Possibly "mother fucker" may still be a insult to the left. But tolerating and eventually condoning incest is in liberals' future. The new frontier.
