This will apply to all emergencies...not just flooding.

Fill your cars gas tank when it gets to half. Don't let your tank go below half full.

That way you'll always have atleast a half a tank to escape.

When an emergency is coming...the lines at the gas stations are a mile long (maybe not a mile...but you know what I mean).
