Brandon Webber’s Facebook Video Shows Moments Hours Before His Death

Brandon Webber posted a Facebook Live video shortly before his death which showed him having a brief interaction with officers in Memphis. Webber says in the video that officers would have to catch him as he alluded to a high-speed car chase. Later, Webber was fatally shot by a U.S. Marshals Service officer.

Prosecutor says man killed by marshals was suspect in DeSoto County shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Brandon Webber was wanted on multiple felony warrants out of Mississippi when he died Wednesday.

District Attorney John Champion, of the 17th Circuit Court of Mississippi, says Webber was suspected of shooting a DeSoto County man five times when he met the man to buy a car.

The victim is still in the hospital.

Champion is holding a news conference at 4 p.m. in Hernando. Watch a live stream of his remarks here.

Just talked to a four year veteran with the MPD at a Walgreens in east Memphis. His comments concerning #BrandonWebber:
1) he was wanted for auto theft and attempted murder in Mississippi
2) that's why the US Marshals were after him, multi state task force
3) #BrandonWebber pulled a firearm on the US Marshals
4) MPD and Sheriff command hand tied the reaction force... that's why 25 were injured
5) #BrandonWebber was handcuffed after being shot multiple times as dictated by law enforcement protocol. a shot man can still be a threat
6) this MPD officer was heading up to North Memphis for another night of expected rioting after the #BrandonWebber killing. Expect MPD and Sheriff officers to take a much aggressive stance tonight
7) If @tamisawyer is elected mayor white and black officers will quit in droves

This is a poorly chosen battle, but we can see that racism is very prevalent in Memphis and on this thread. It is no wonder that we behave this way. We are judged by the color of our skin while we ought to be treated as human. We come in many different colors that, in most cases, pull us into a role that this racist ideology defines. We all make mistakes out of ignorance. The palest of us are responsible for some of the worst atrocities in history.

On that topic, we should be reminded how this land was stolen from wonderous people that had been in balance with nature and our Father. This civilization will decline further until we nurture love as the hearthstone of it. The situation has become so dire that it may be erased.
