Quoting: SocialEnigma 77719481 19 Canadians in that team, 3 Americans, 3 Swedes and 2 Russians... it's basically mostly a Canadian triumph... Not gonna lie. I'm happy about that too. But I hope St. Louis has a awesome party. |

Dead people celebrated that championship. Glad I was away from the most hysterical celebrations. Now that happens for St Louis, a win after years of none, and Boston Finally gets a reminder that it all ends in tears anyway. We win too much here, a reminder is necessary. The economy is booming because we live in the real world, but we pay for that with too many cars on the road. Bruns* fans can go fuck themselves anyway. *"Bruns" spelling and pronunciation from "The Friends Of Eddie Coyle" by George V Higgins, the definitive book of 60s Boston vernacular. |

(Boston was designed with an "emerald necklace" of green areas running through it. This spring has been lush with so much rain) Detroit has miles of roads with no markets but drug stores that sell processed foods, boarded houses with nature taking over, Boston has a down market housing shortage and has a supermarket or 3 in every neighborhood, 3 or 4 Whole Foods, a Super 66 Asian mega market, thousands of interesting restaurants, foot traffic over the whole area, and thriving economy spanning everything from Medical to Financial Services to Construction, and thousands of other Booming professions. Detroit is trying though, but it's time is truly past because the industry will never come back. |

I may have moved to Missouri from a state that doesn't have any pro teams except soccer and basketball..but I will totally act like I know anything about hockey simply to fit in with my new home state and strangely large number of Missourian hockey fans who apparently can still practice in a state where the lakes don't freeze like they do in Boston. Although, my grandfather played one season for the Boston Bruins back around the early 1900s... so, like nearly all native Oregonians, I will remain unaffiliated with any major sports teams... |

LMAO as someone who lived in Boston for a good while, after moving from the Pacific Northwest, all I have to say is this: FUCK BOSTON. I may be a McWopper with both sides of my family originating from the Bay State, but no one could pay me enough to ever live in Boston again. (cuz frankly it wouldn't come close to covering the insane cost of living there). Oh, you live in a tiny town called Maynard? Go ahead and pay $10 a month to own that little chihuahua. Oh you want to drive into Boston proper? How about paying over $12 one way to get through the 11 toll booths over the span of 20 miles. Yes. We have dunkin' donuts...and a surplus of tweakers in the parking lot to serve all your drug needs between 10pm and 6am. Did we mention our marathons? They're the BOMB! And our winters are so awesome we get to literally dig a tunnel to get to our cars... Oh and did I mention our insanely high taxes for literally everything? Can't beat that! But hey, we got some over-priced daycare cent.... sorry... colleges here so we get to justify our reputation of being (as our nickname suggests) MASS HOLES. Sorry, boston. I lived there, my whole family is from there... but it can suck my clit. To anyone from Boston (or New England in general excluding maine and new hampshire) the rest of the country is actually filled with people who trust you without knowing you. Care about you and will let you take as long as you need to merge into the lane. Charges a fair price for shit regardless of whether you know them or not... The rest of this country isn't wealthy enough to qualify for Boston. That's why Boston sucks. One word. MONEY. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 74775434 United States 06/13/2019 09:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ugh. New Englanders will burn and riot every time we win/lose a championship. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77431203 By New Englanders I mean college kids from one of our 6 million colleges packed into here. And by championships I mean the 2-3 major sporting events per year we absolutely dominate at.. Come to think of it...that's probably why we win so much...marketing to college kids..huh. Lived near UNH in Southern NH for quite a while. The only rioting issues we had were at the college. Bunch of drunk punks fighting and vandalizing stuff. On a separate but related note, is there any surprise these games go to the max of 7 events? At $500-2000 per seat, plus the concessions, hotels, pahhking, bars, etc. the revenue is hard to turn down. Used to take customers to B's games and the costs were absolutely obscene. No way a family can afford to go regularly to ANY sporting events in Bahstan. |
