I actually shuffle my deck and tap a smokey quartz against this nice piece of agate that I have (just my own thing I guess) laid out in front of me to signify that I am entering into a new reading for a new individual (wouldn't call them clients). I then focus on their avatar, username, sometimes shuffle according to the first or last digit of their user ID and try to lock in on their energy signature. I don't draw from the top of the deck I have a method of fast shuffling and I wait until a card actually 'jumps' out of the deck.
