This happened to a neighbor of my sister several years ago. He was a wealthy guy and wanted to sell a Corvette. Placed an ad in Craigslist and got shot by some black who decided to steal the car.

I once tried to sell a nice car on Craig's List and half the calls were from creepy black people who I'm positive were just trying to rob or kill me. The second I recognized the ghetto talk I told them the car was sold. I could not possibly imagine meeting a thug somewhere in town. I would have been bad enough having them come to your house. If I ever did do that I would have two other guy friends as body guards to back me up.

What about Amazon? I don't know what the deal is there but a lot of used items get sold there. One individual trying to sell his Xbox isn't exactly a case of 'trying to make money,' anyway, just to get a little something back on his original investment. Surely a small fee is worth it for the sake of security. I wonder if they even tried trading it in to the same store where they bought it, many of which also sell used merchandise.

Don't some of these manufacturers let you trade in used devices in good condition? HP and Dell do because they both sell refurbished items and then there's New Egg online too. I'd have thought anyone who knows how to buy and use a device and buy accessories for it, also knows how to sell it. There are plenty of alternatives to making private deals with unknowns, ffs. I'd donate it to a worthy charity and take the tax deduction before I'd go within 100 feet of one of those savages.
