When I heard about this it really hurt me right in chest. The innocence of the kid trying to sell the XBOX and then these demons shooting him. I don't know why the father would drive down to Gary. I went there once and was in a "food store" and I felt on edge.

I've been in Chi-Congo for a few years now, originally from New York. And I miss the safety of New York as crazy at that sounds. I plan to move out of this place in a year.

Thirty years ago my sister and her friend (another girl) drove to Detroit to shop at some mall or other, took a wrong turn and ended up in the wrong side of town.

I'm from the south but worked a job in NW IN for about a year. I like the region, but seeing Gary was a freakin shock. It really looks like a nuke went off there 30 years ago. Nothing but liquor stores and shitty fast food, all with burglar bars. The only whites looked like dope heads to me.

Let's break this down

First thing I see wrong here is they didnt meet at a public place, never ever let the buyer dictate where you are to meet and always meet in a public place

Second thing is why didnt the dad get out to sell the xbox? Dont let your inexperience 16 year old son go especially by himself, the dad who most likely more street wise would have saw the gun and may e could have attacked the guy with the gun and saved his sons life

Or how about the dad get out by himself and sell xbox?

Third and I cant stress this enough, and I know whites kill people too, but if you see black youths coming to buy something from you either one dont get out, or make sure you get out with a gun.
