With the Fast Lane checkout system, you scan items as you shop using the My Walmart app. When you’re ready to check out, head to the designated Fast Lane check out where you scan the barcode from your order. The payment will be made through a credit card which you add in the app and you simply show the Fast Lane associate your receipt as you exit. The app also features digital coupons and store-specific deals for additional savings. Don’t have a wireless data plan? No worries. There’s free WiFi and phone chargers. Fast Lane seems simple enough in theory. However, things aren’t always as easy as they sound (Remember the now defunct Scan and Go system?). I haven't seen her work there in about a year now. In fact no one is checking receipts anymore. If enough people complain and it becomes enough of an issue it gets stopped. . |
