Having the attributes of the mark does not mean that it is the mark.

Revelation 13: 16-17 And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name.

GOD's word is clear on the conditions for which something will be the mark of the beast.

the ssn# is not currently stamped on anyone's right hand or forehead. Currently one can go into any store and buy anything without having to show their ssn# on their right hand or on their forehead.

so no, its not the mark of the beast. Aside from that, the mark of the beast will be specific to the beast who is 1 specific man. the ssn# does not show allegiance to any one specific man. so no again, it is not the mark of the beast.

When satan of nebadon/hatonn's antichrist comes to power, he will require a mark that is specific to him. shows allegiance to him, and how will anyone not be able to buy or sell without it? how would say a cashier at walmart know if you have the mark or not?---because you will have to show it. It will be a visible mark on the right hand or the forehead.

so to recap, the SSN#, driver's license #, birth certificate, smart phone, debit/credit card are NOT the mark of the beast.
