Hal Brands is eager to reclaim John Quincy Adams for the primacists:

Why does it matter what Adams said and did 200 years ago?
Because the common misunderstanding of his role contributes to a larger
misunderstanding of what U.S. foreign policy has been in the past and should be in the future.
Advocates of a sharply curtailed foreign policy often contend that they
are simply calling for a reversion to the time-tested American tradition
of non-intervention and limited engagement with the world.
They argue that Adams is representative of a more realistic statecraft that
has been lost amid America’s alleged obsession with
projecting its influence and values beyond its borders.

Uncovering the actual legacy of John Quincy Adams might make one think differently.

Some of what Brands says is true, but he overstates his case and tries to make Adams into a sort of neoconservative avant la lettre. He doesn’t prove that the “common misunderstanding” of Adams is a misunderstanding at all. Brands points out that Adams was a continental territorial expansionist. Like many American political leaders in his time, Adams supported expanding U.S. territory across North America. That is true as far as it goes, but Brands’ account conveniently ignores Adams’ later opposition to Texas annexation and the Mexican War when he served in Congress. Adams was in favor of expansion in general, but he opposed it in some very important, high-profile cases. He flatly rejected the Mexican War as a war of conquest, which he called “this most outrageous war.” That sounds like something advocates of restraint would like. That is his “actual legacy.” Adams’ support for expansion also seems remarkably irrelevant to the current debate over restraint vs. primacy. It’s also irrelevant to how Adams thought the U.S. should respond to foreign conflicts in other parts of the world. In his famous July 4 speech, Adams said:

She well knows that by once enlisting under other banners than her own,
were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself,
beyond the power of extrication, in all the wars of interest and intrigue,
of individual avarice, envy, and ambition, which
assume the colors and usurp the standard of freedom.
The fundamental maxims of her policy would insensibly change from liberty to force.

Brands would have you think that Americans have been misunderstanding Adams’ position for almost 200 years, but that’s wrong. Adams is saying explicitly that the U.S. should not participate in the wars of other nations. That was his clear position.

Creator God Aton “called” several people to come to
Tehachapi, California, to help with the Phoenix Project.
The key people were Dr. Edwin Young, an engineer,
E.J. Ekker, an engineer,
his wife, Doris Ekker, a nursing supervisor,
Rick Martin and Al Overholt. Others came later.

The star people from Pleiades or the Seven Sisters are
our ancestors and look like us.
They had come to our planet in the early 1930’s to help us.
They had been watching us and realized our planet and
her people were in serious trouble.
The starship, The Phoenix, is the command ship of the
Pleiadian Star Fleet, and Creator God Aton is the Commander.
The Phoenix was positioned over Tehachapi, and a short-wave
radio communication system was set up.
This allowed those aboard the Phoenix to communicate
directly with those in Tehachapi.

Doris Ekker became the typist and put to print what she
heard from the short-wave receiver.
The star people would observe and check her work for accuracy.
The first publication in the form of a news paper was
The Phoenix Express, January 1990.
Due to government problems The Express was stopped,
and the Phoenix Liberator began October 1991.
Again, after government lawsuit, the Liberator was stopped and
the Contact Newspaper began publishing in March 1993.

In the United States of America under copyright law
a journal format needs no copyright.
For this reason, the Phoenix Journals are in journal format.
Anyone may copy them with no restrictions.
Only the first Journal, Sipapu Odyssey, is copyrighted.
It was done for a movie script, but the movie was never produced.

Creator God Aton is the commander of the starship, Phoenix,

As commander he calls himself Hatonn throughout the Phoenix Journals.
In the English language the word, Hatonn,
the first and last letters are silent.
So Hatonn is pronounced h-ATON-n (Aton).

Researcher and writer, Nora Boyles has published a book entitled,
The Garden of Aton, in which she reveals that in every language
on Planet Earth can be found the word, ATON.
It is used in reference to God, the Sun and The Central Sun.

behind the anonymous tell-all book and critical New York Times
opinion piece about the White House and will part ways
with that person, according to former U.S. Attorney Joe diGenova.

DiGenova, a lawyer whose work has been caught up in the
Ukraine-impeachment controversy, said on Monday that he
and his wife, Victoria Toensing, were told by "a senior
government official" that "Anonymous" had been identified as
an official working in the White House and would be removed "soon."

Journalist Abby Martin Sues State of Georgia Over Israel Loyalty Oath

that was set to take place at Georgia Southern University on February 28th.
The university sent Martin a contract for the event that
included a clause not to boycott Israel.
Seeing it as a clear affront to her constitutional rights,
Martin refused to sign, and the speech was canceled.

Matt Gaetz Does Not Want American Troops

of his America First principles that got him elected.

Gaetz has become a leader on immigration reform and

champions these ideas that put America First and kick out
all factions of globalism inside of the Republican Party.

Release Date: February 6, 2020

State Law Prevents CBP from Determining Program Eligibility

WASHINGTON — Effective immediately, residents of the State of New York
will no longer be eligible to apply for or renew membership in
U.S. Customs and Border Protection Trusted Traveler Programs
due to state legislation that restricts CBP’s access to certain criminal history
information maintained by the New York Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

In addition, the Vehicle Exports program will be affected.
Vehicles titled in New York may be de-prioritized for export,
as resource limitations require, when supporting documents cannot
be authenticated through information sharing with New York DMV.

The decision comes as the State of New York implements the
“Driver’s License Access and Privacy Act,” which prohibits CBP from accessing
information maintained by the New York DMV.
Without access to this information, CBP cannot properly complete security checks
for Trusted Traveler Program applications and renewals submitted by
New York residents, greatly increasing our security risk.

An unpopular Palestinian president and a disgraced

NEW YORK (JTA) — Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas hasn’t
negotiated directly with Israel in nearly six years
and most Palestinians want him to step down.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert served 16 months
in prison for bribery and fraud in a corruption scandal
that ended his political career more than a decade ago.

Yet there they were on Tuesday at a Midtown Manhattan hotel
reaffirming their commitment to resolving the Israeli-Palestinian
conflict along lines that until recently were broadly
endorsed by the international community.

Abbas was fresh off an appearance that morning at the United Nations,
where he categorically rejected President Donald Trump’s vision for
Middle East peace — one that effectively condones the
Israeli annexation of large portions of the West Bank.
Speaking to the world body, Abbas said the plan “leaves Palestine
fragmented” and “will end all basis for a peace plan.”

At the news conference, Abbas said he was fully prepared
to resume peace negotiations — on Olmert’s terms.
