Yep, covered it a coupla times here Coldcut.
The nice thing about Alzheimer's is
that it's so easy to make new friends.

Annointing was a common practice among shepherds,
the oil kept insects out of the sheep's ears.
The term "mashiach" literally means "the anointed one," and refers to the ancient practice of anointing kings with oil when they took the throne. The mashiach is the one who will be anointed as king in the End of Days.

The word "mashiach" does not mean "savior." The notion of an innocent, divine or semi-divine being who will sacrifice himself to save us from the consequences of our own sins is a purely Christian concept that has no basis in J-wish thought. Unfortunately, this Christian concept has become so deeply ingrained in the English word "messiah" that this English word can no longer be used to refer to the J-wish concept. The word "mashiach" will be used throughout this page.

Some gentiles have told me that the term "mashiach" is related to the Hebrew term "moshiah" (savior) because they sound similar, but the similarity is not as strong as it appears to one unfamiliar with Hebrew. The Hebrew word "mashiach" comes from the root Mem-Shin-Chet, which means to paint, smear, or annoint. The word "moshiah" comes from the root Yod-Shin-Ayin, which means to help or save.

This link wouldn't post in December.
Now J-wish and J-daism are auto-corrected.
The new beginning is surely near. chuckle
From my December observation:
Sure Paul spoke the truth, covered in lawspeak.
Like Brother Nathanael Kapner, he knew
the ways of his people. When you start
telling family secrets, that's when they
come after you. One of God's rules for evil
is they have to announce their intentions.

Christ knew what their intentions were since
he was old enough to listen and talk.
Since John the Baptist didn't consider women
worthy of baptism, they considered him the
true Mashiach, "the annointed one."

John told them that his cousin was the true
Moshiah (savior). They already had their minds
made up that they needed a warrior king.
This "Savior" spoke truth to their tyranny while
remaining as cool as the other side of the pillow.

They needed John's hellfire and brimstone to
work with their system of control through fear
and guilt. But this one told them of a spiritual
kingdom within that needed no middlemen. He
chased them out of the Temple when they were
using it as a den of thieves and said that their
bowls were clean on the outside but nasty inside.

J-daism 101
Saying that "mashiach" is related to "moshiah" is a bit like saying
that ring is related to surfing because they both end in "ing."
