Do mommy cats feel sad when humans give away their kittens? | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 75958201 United States 06/18/2019 12:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Cats are not like humans. They are completely different. Nevertheless, a mom cat might briefly mourn the loss of her kitten. We don't know what mourning is like for cats, but cats can get depressed and lethargic like humans. But rest assured, cats forget and move on much more quickly than we humans do. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 77181386 United States 06/18/2019 12:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | honestly, I wondered when they get tired of them and is it obvious turns out mommy cats are kinda cunts after about 5 weeks they will leave them to wonder and only coming back here and there, until she feels threatened. She will run off the other females in her own litter and the males will eventually find other females, not mom, unless being fed or they get fixed. After they are born, take them immediately to the shelter to get fixed, and ear clipped. They will call you when they are ready then you can give them away or turn them loose if need be. Never turn a house cat loose, btw, once they are accustomed to being fed they will refuse to hunt. Trust me, its sad to watch. (someone did this to a sweet boy around here) |

For the most part anyway. Elephants have been known to literally be traumatized by the death of their parents/kin. Some animals (including cats) will care for animals that are not their own (which goes against evolutionist thinking btw, survival of the fittest...) But generally, out of sight, out of mind is the most common denominator. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Romans 10:10 |

Either way she will move on, cats (like most other animals) don’t mourn the loss of their children the same way we do. |

(someone did this to a sweet boy around here) Unreal that anyone thinks it's ok to clip a cat's ear. I think a few human ears should get clipped to see how they like it. They also seem to think it's ok to have them declawed when in fact the vet cuts off their toe to the first digit. Please do not take your kittens to any shelter that clips their ears. Clearly they don't give a shit about cats. |

It really DEPENDS on he particular pet/cat/dog, etc. Every animal--just like people--are different. I saw a really concerning video of one momma cat who had her babies removed from her care very young (6 weeks.) She went fairly bat-shit nuts and was very upset by the separation.
