Just Lost my Dog....

I lost my Chihuahua Paris two weeks ago. She was everything to me. It hurt like hell everyday but over time it will hurt less. I pray your heart heals too. When you are ready, rescue another baby.

So sorry for your loss, I had to put my fur buddy to sleep in March, He was 15 years old and in pain. I'm still not over it yet.

This is a very hard thing to deal with, people. Any loss is hard. Sure some will say that it’s harder than losing a human relative or friend rather than losing a pet… But these things can’t be compared. It’s extremely hard losing a loved pet. Rather be a dog, cat, rabbit… Etc. I’ve had my heart broken due to this very thing multiple times, and it never gets any easier. I’ve even promised myself that I would never get another pet after I lost one that I love so dearly… But most of the time I always did. No more even say “you always have Wonderful memories”. It’s those memories that hurt the most. Sure they may be wonderful… But they hurt so so very much.

My friend, I am so sorry for your loss. I get it. And one day you will find that there are no more tears to shed; the dreams won’t come as often, in peace will be restored through compassion, love, and acceptance. You’ll find yourself picking another sweet lovable baby up in your arms one day and you’ll notice that gleam in their eyes as if to say “I knew you’d find me again”. And you’ll be completed again. There will be another time.

You need to get another one. In time, you will grow to love the new one as much as the old.

I get ya pain..I was a foster parent to dogs, but never had one as long enough to establish the bond with one as a canine family member. I had a stray cat though that I took in that eventually became my good friend compadre and one of the family. I lost him to a vehicular accident and buried him in the yard. I didn't expect to shed a tear for "just an animal" but I did for my cat and still remember hanging out with my four legged buddy till this day.

Rainbow Bridge Poem

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our pets are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; Her eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

Other dogs help to fill the void.

I am so sorry for your loss. I just lost mine in May, so I know the pain you feel.

It is always very difficult when soneone you love dies, I lost a beloved dog 2 years ago. I hope to see her again sometime somewhere. Best thing is to keep the happy memories and get a new dog. At least that is my opinion.

I am so very sorry. There is no pain quite like the loss of a best four-legged friend. I have been there, more than once.

Remember all the good times. Be happy that you had such a dear friend. But I will not lie to you, it will be hard. It will be hard because your dog loved you unconditionally, except for dog treats of course, and unconditional love is rare and will be missed much.

Write something about your dog, place a photo with it & enter the info into EVERY SINGLE MISSING PET TITLE (IN YOUR AREA) on both Facebook AND LOCAL PET CENTERS, VETS, etc. Put a missing pet sign everywhere u can.. telephone/utility poles, churches, supermarkets, GO EVERYWHERE! Also, PRAY! VISUALIZE YOUR PET BACK HOME! Ask GLP to help with prayer! They helped us!!! GOOD LUCK!
